MoneyGram money transfer company signed an agreement with Intesa San Paolo Bank to offer international money transfer services at more than 50 of the bank’s branch locations throughout the country. The companies expect the branches to be fully operational in September. With the addition of Intesa San Paolo Bank, MoneyGram’s money transfer network increases to more than 100 locations throughout the territory in less than a year after entering the Bosnian market. The majority of money transfer sends to Bosnia originate from Austria, Germany, Switzerland and the United States.

The first collaboration between i2c and Banco do Brasil Americas will be a prepaid card program allowing Brazilian students living in the United States and other countries to receive scholarship benefit disbursements conveniently on a prepaid card. i2c’s global payments platform will enable scholarship providers to load funds to prepaid cards that students can use to make purchases in their local currencies.

The Western Union Gold Prepaid Card allows consumers to direct a Western Union Money Transfer transaction directly onto a card, or utilize a “split payout” option to load part of a remittance onto a card and receive the rest in cash. The card also offers innovative mobile text features that help consumers better manage their money. Cardholders can load Western Union remittances and receive account information using SMS text messages, which interfaces with local systems for a “split payout” option.
