Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Zhongshan Branch (“ICBC Zongshan”) will expand its use of NCR APTRA OptiCash software to cover its entire network of 600 ATMs. ICBC Zhongshan commenced the pilot for NCR APTRA OptiCash service platform in January 2015.
NCR Corporation announced that Gibraltar International Bank has chosen NCR and local channel partner BSG Computer Systems to deliver the latest NCR intelligent deposit ATMs and NCR software solutions. NCR nnounced announced ING-DiBa private consumer bank with over eight installed NCR Solidcore Suite for APTRA security software. Each of ING’s 1,300 ATMs has been equipped with this comprehensive protection that prohibits the introduction of unauthorized code on ATMs and protects them from insider attacks. NCR Solidcore Suite for APTRA proactively allows only authorized code to run, rather than reacting to known attacks as they arise. Specifically, Solidcore Suite for APTRA automatically creates and updates the inventory of authorized code and protects the system’s memory so that this code cannot be modified, deleted or hijacked – the process in which malicious code replaces authorised code with itself.
NCR Corporation today announced that it has signed a software professional service agreement with Hua Xia Bank to transform its banking services with NCR’s latest multi-vendor software application, NCR APTRA Activate. The software will run on the bank’s entire fleet of multi-vendor ATMs, self-service kiosks for card issuance and account enquiry kiosks nationwide. NCR will provide implementation maintenance for the new platform, which is expected to begin this fall.
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MS) has integrated the mobile check deposit software from NCR Corporation (NCR), the global leader in consumer transaction technologies, into its new Morgan Stanley Mobile App for iPhone. Morgan Stanley’s new wealth management app features cutting-edge technology from NCR partner Mitek that makes taking a suitable photo of a check using a mobile phone camera even easier. Mitek MiSnap provides onscreen guidance to clients to help them properly orient the check in the photo frame and then snaps a picture of the check automatically. The check deposit is then validated and transmitted using the new NCR APTRA Passport for Mobile software for processing.
Canadians have used their mobile phone to deposit more than 1,000,000 cheques since the Canadian Payments Association approved the cheque image rule last year to allow for mobile remote deposit capture (RDC), according to data from NCR Corporation (NYSE: NCR), the global leader in consumer transaction technologies.
NCR Corporation announced that Cathay United Bank (“CUB”) has become the first bank in Taiwan to provide personalized automated teller machine (“ATM”) transactions by using NCR APTRA Connections software. CUB is the fourth largest ATM deployer in Taiwan with more than 1,900 ATMs. APTRA Connections is now running on about 180 units of NCR SelfServ ATMs and 120 units from another vendor. Most of these ATMs are installed at busy locations. CUB is also planning to extend the new features to its entire ATM network gradually. APTRA Connections enables CUB to recognize their customers and display personalized greeting message. CUB customers can customize their ATM menu by pre-selecting favorite transaction options that include their usual cash withdrawal amount, bill payment and bank transfers, resulting in fewer screens to navigate and save time – as much as 33 percent faster than a typical transaction.
Finansbank has chosen NCR solutions to provide an improved and more convenient banking experience for consumers and small business in Turkey. With 673 branches across the region, Finansbank is the bank of choice for small businesses when they deposit takings at the end of day and specifically chose NCR SelfServ 34 and 32 ATMs for their deposit and cash re-cycling capabilities. Finansbank has also selected NCR to service and maintain its ATM network for the next 10 years and is developing ATM applications based on the open NCR APTRA™ XFS software interface. The cash re-cycling features of these ATMs will help Finansbank reduce costs by decreasing the number cash deliveries required at branches and the time spent on cash replenishment by branch staff. NCR APTRA software uses a Windows®-based XFS interface, facilitating an open software environment and making it vendor independent.
Qatar Islamic Bank and NCR Corporation inked a strategic agreement for the implementation of significant technology projects in 2014. QIB will purchase the innovative NCR Skimming Protection Solution (SPS) in an effort to proactively address today’s ATM skimming challenges and deliver maximum protection and convenience to its customers. As part of this project, QIB will enhance the strength of its IT infrastructure with the use of security firewalls, network access control, data center switches upgrade and the technology refresh of its entire telephony system. QIB will be among the first large financial institutions to move their self-service network to the Windows 7 platform.
NCR signed an agreement to become the primary technology provider for PRESENTE, the fund serving employees of Éxito Group. NCR Colombia will work with the Fund to deliver its first network of ATMs for its members. Using NCR’s technology, PRESENTE has already installed 14 ATMs, which are located at administrative offices, distribution centers, food industry, and the textile subsidiary Didetexco, in cities such as Barranquilla, Bogota, Cali and Envigado. PRESENTE becomes the first Fund for Employees with its own ATM network in the country. In addition, PRESENTE will use NCR APTRA eMarketing software to deliver personalized ATM experiences, advertising campaigns and service offers to the members, allowing a constant and immediate communication with them.
