MoneyGram acquired Advanced ChronoCash Services (“ACCS”) and signed an agreement to acquire MoneyGlobe Payment Institution. MoneyGram acquired super agent ACCS through a share purchase agreement. ACCS has been a MoneyGram agent since 2003, and has now grown to more than 400 locations with a loyal base of retail agents. MoneyGram also signed an agreement to acquire the shares of MoneyGlobe Payment Institution S.A., a provider of cash-to-account money transfers from Greece to Bangladesh. The transaction is subject to closing conditions and regulatory approvals. These latest acquisitions are important to MoneyGram’s offerings to customers in Greece and draw upon the company’s strategy to invest in products and services that enhance operations and provide increased convenience for customers.
Over 150 Zaxby’s locations have deployed MICROS’s “myinventory” to better manage and control in-store inventories at all of its corporate and 60+ franchisee locations. The “myinventory” solution-integrated with the MICROS POS- extends Zaxby’s list of deployed MICROS solutions at its 535 casual restaurants in the Southern United States. MICROS’ “myinventory” optimizes the management of inventory, and provides all the information required to maintain stock in a cost effective manner for cumulative, daily and ad hoc reports related to ordering, receiving, inventory counts, waste and more.
Texas Trust Credit Union is introducing its “Spirit Debit Rewards,” allowing cardholders to help schools earn cash for the classroom with every swipe of their Texas Trust Credit Union Spirit Debit Reward card. Participating schools will receive 15 cents every time an active Spirit Debit card is used to make a purchase. With more than 1,100 active card-carrying Spirit Debit cardholders, Texas Trust Credit Union anticipates giving away $75,000 this school year to the schools enrolled in the program. Schools will receive a check each month for cardholders’ previous months purchases.
New Malev-Citibank co-brand card customers who activate and perform a
transaction with the card for least HUF 15,000 by Sept. 30, 2010,
will receive a free return air ticket. Because of the great success of
a similar promotion last year, Malev and Citibank decided to offer the
promotion again this year. Customers can select a preferred destination
from Malev’s 20 scheduled flights. The complimentary return air ticket includes all related taxes, airport
and other fees, so new cardholders do not need to spend anything on the
flight. Malev-Citibank Gold Card holders also receive free travel
insurance, a service connected with the Gold Credit Card. Malev-Citibank credit card holders earn Bonus Points in Malev’s Duna
Club Frequent Flyer Program by shopping with their credit cards. These
points can then be exchanged for bonus air tickets in the Malev and
oneworld network, based on contractual terms and conditions.
Food retail chain SPAR will install NCR self-checkouts in 12 SPAR INTERSPAR hypermarkets in
Slovenia. The deployment of the 52 self-checkouts was signed with the support of
Printec, NCR Solutions Partner in Eastern Europe. If successful, NCR
“SelfServ Checkouts” could be deployed to other SPAR stores in Slovenia in
2010. The solution’s enhanced design also provides operational efficiencies
for retailers and customers. NCR “SelfServ Checkout” features NCR’s
patented two-sided thermal receipt printer, which enables simultaneous
printing on both sides of a receipt, reducing paper consumption by up to
45 per cent and speeding up print times. In addition, the NCR RealPOS
High Performance Scanner/Scale offers superior scanning performance to
help make self-checkout scanning even quicker for consumers.

assist and guide SPAR Slovenia with the right checkout configuration and
the implementation of operational “best practices” to ensure the optimum
customer and staff experience.
