VISA ReadyLink has been integrated into Walmart’s Rapid Reload network of prepaid card programs. Visa reloadable prepaid cardholders can now add funds to their general purpose reloadable (GPR) cards at participating Walmart stores.
NCR consumer transaction technologies signed agreement to build a new world headquarters campus in Atlanta. This will enable the company to continue to attract talent to support its hardware-enabled, software-driven business. The new campus will be located at Centergy North at Technology Square on Spring Street, and will provide NCR with a state-of-the-art presence. In addition to helping the company consolidate a number of disparate facilities into unified and contemporary work environments and will allow retail and hospitality customers from all over the world to experience NCR technology solutions.
London-based Worldpay is heading to Atlanta. The Company will occupy130,000 square feet over six floors in Atlanta’s Midtown business district. Worldpay received a $1.5 million City of Atlanta Economic Opportunity grant to help fund the relocation of its U.S. headquarters.

Once logged in to the MobilePay app on an iPhone®, iPad® or Android® device, users simply enter the amount, the payee’s email, swipe the card and obtain a signature. A personalized email receipt is sent after each transaction.

BitPay payment processor for bitcoin processed over $2 million during the first 25 days in March, with a transaction pace accelerating at over 3,600 completed transactions this month. With this, the company also announces that it has lowered its processing fees for all merchants to 0.99%, including settlement in any local currency that BitPay supports. This allows merchants to accept payment over the bitcoin peer-to-peer payment network, and either keep the bitcoins or receive their local currency such as dollars or euros. Settlements to local currencies are made with a guaranteed exchange rate locked at the point of sale for no additional fee. BitPay currently has over 4,000 merchants using its platform to accept payments over the peer-to-peer payment network, and BitPay is acquiring new merchants at a rate of 1,000 new merchants per month.

TransLink has selected Cubic Transportation Systems as the preferred bidder to design and build the smart card and faregate project for Greater Vancouver’s transportation system by 2013.
