Globus Supermarkets now plans to equip all of its stores with contactless POS terminals after successful NFC payments trial. This was in conjunction with Telefónica O2, Komerční Banka, Citibank and Visa Europe. Two hundred clients of both Citibank and Telefónica as well as two hundred common clients of Komerční Banka and Telefónica took part in the trial. Citibank has seen more than 2,500 payment transactions conducted with a value of more than EUR1million and a total of 4,500 NFC transactions were carried out by Komerční Banka customers during the trial.

Intesa Sanpaolo Card card processing has been validated compliant with the PCI DSS by Trustwave. ISP Card had to demonstrate compliance by thoroughly validating its adherence to a comprehensive range of security policies and procedures. To maintain their compliance, ISP Card has enrolled in the Trustwave “TrustKeeper” on-demand compliance management solution to access the necessary tools to support on-going compliance such as quarterly network vulnerability scans. Gothenburg-based Todos Data System has received an additional order for 150,000 smart card readers from Slovakia’s Tatra banka. Tatra recently purchased 200,000 Todos units. The new order is divided between the “Todos A200” and “Todos Signature” readers. Tatra is the first bank in Slovakia to offer its eBanking customers an advanced smart card reader.
