TSYS has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute as one of the 2013 World’s Most Ethical Companies for the second year in a row. Ethisphere reviewed nominations from companies in more than 100 countries and 36 industries for the award. The methodology for the World’s Most Ethical Companies includes reviewing codes of ethics, litigation and regulatory infraction histories; evaluating the investment in innovation and sustainable business practices; looking at activities designed to improve corporate citizenship; and studying nominations from senior executives, industry peers, suppliers and customers.

He brings to the role more than 12 years’ total experience in the financial institution and payments arena after having served as Associate General Counsel and Senior VP, Product Development for Merrick Bank Corporation and Counsel in the Patent Division for Procter & Gamble.
PXT Payments electronic payment solutions provider launched “PXT Money” stored value app for consumer smart phones and a transaction settlement system for merchants. The “PXT Money” solution brings merchants to consumers on their smart phones using a single complete mobile payment system. This eliminates the need for merchants to have expensive payment system hardware while the smart phone app has limitless options for merchant loyalty programs, discounts, and exclusive offers. Wherever there is Internet access, consumers can pay for any item, restaurant bill, or professional services of any kind by clicking on the “PXT Money” icon using their cell phone number.
In conjunction with PXT Payments, the town of Brookline, MA has launched its chip-based, secure “Brookline Debit Card” smart debit card program, along with an on- and off-street parking application. To create a safe, local currency that boosts consumer spending in Brookline, the PXT Payments smart debit card allows residents to no longer worry if they have enough change to park, or be concerned about potential identity theft when making payments anywhere in Brookline. From coffee houses to hardware stores, consumers can load their chip-based, encrypted card at any participating merchant. If consumers load $50 or more at any of the participating merchants, they will receive an additional $5 loaded for free. The PXT smart debit card program can be made for exclusive use in a single town, city, or Business Improvement District (BID), or standardized across a state, or even multiple states if local authorities coordinate.
RFinity has introduced its POS capability to support its mobile payment and traditional credit card transactions on the VeriFone “PAYware Connect Gateway” and the VeriFone “VX” line of payment solutions. VeriFone will certify the RFinity application for use on the “VX” platform, which has successfully concluded a pilot program using the VeriFone “MX 800 Series” at Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYU-I), where students and employees continue to use the technology for purchases and has expanded to include residents, local merchants and a community bank as well. RFinity technology attaches a one-time-use encrypted code to each transaction, activated by consumers tapping their phone and entering a personal authorization code, which is protected and the RFinity technology may be deactivated remotely in the event of theft or loss.

Idaho Falls-based technology company RFinity has launched the next phase of a pilot program providing a secure mobile payment option for residents in nearby Rexburg, Idaho. For this, RFinity has secured a cooperative agreement with Rexburgâs Citizens Community Bank (CCB), where current and prospective account-holders of CCB may enroll in the program and then use their mobile devices to conduct transactions with participating merchants using RFinityâs secure near field communications (NFC) technology. The first phase of the pilot program was implemented on the Brigham Young University-Idaho (BYU-I) campus, where students and employees use the technology to make purchases at the University Store and other on-campus locations.

customers. Through in-depth research and a multi-step analysis,
Ethisphere reviewed thousands of nominations from companies in over 100
countries and 36 industries in order to determine the winners. American Express secured a hard-earned
spot on the list by implementing business practices and initiatives that
raise the bar for ethical standards within the industry.
NFC mobile communication provider RFinity has been nominated by
Contactless Intelligence for its Monkey Award in the category of
Trailblazing and Innovation. This nomination follows a successful pilot program that began last fall
at Brigham Young University-Idaho, where students are using
RFinity-enabled cell phones to securely and conveniently make purchases
at the campus bookstore. The award recognizes exemplary companies
worldwide that further the boundaries of contactless technology through
product introduction or pilot programs. The winners will be announced at
CIâs spring conference on April 29 in London.
