Discover introduced rewarding ways for cardmembers to earn Cashback Bonus this spring, cutting their spending on restaurant and movies purchases. From April 1 through June 30, Discover Cardmembers visiting the online Account Center or calling 1-800-DISCOVER (347-2683), can sign up to earn 5% Cashback Bonus on up to $1500 in restaurant and movie purchases. Discover Cardmembers also can sign up to earn 5% Cashback Bonus on up to $300 in grocery store purchases from May 1 through May 31. After reaching these spending limits, cardmembers will still automatically earn up to 1% Cashback Bonus on all purchases every time they use their cards. American Express welcomes Virgin America Airlines to its Membership Rewards program, encouraging Cardmembers to transfer Membership Rewards points into Virgin America’s “Elevate” frequent flyer program. According to data from the American Society of Travel Agents, cities in
Latin America continue to be some of the most popular destinations for U.S. summer

Discover’s Diners Club International announced the
opening of 13 new airport lounges located in Mexico and Singapore,
bringing the total number of lounges in the Diners Club
airport lounge program to more than 130 worldwide. In Mexico, 11 new
“Salon Premier” lounges will be accessible to Diners
Club Cardmembers at airport locations in Cancun, Chihuahua, Ciudad

Capital One and Orbitz have teamed to launch a new card that offers triple travel rewards. The new “Orbitz Visa” with Capital One “No Hassle Rewards” offers one point for every purchase dollar and three points for each dollar spent booking travel on Orbitz.com. Cardholders can redeem points for travel on Orbitz.com, cash, gift cards and name brand merchandise. Orbitz previously co-branded a “Platinum MasterCard” with Juniper Bank in 2002. Under the Juniper card deal, cardholders received two Rewards points for every dollar spent on airline tickets purchased on Orbitz and one point for every dollar spent everywhere else. payment transactions with a low-cost system on a weekly cycle for its
merchants. Regarding the airline’s punctuality, Volaris has take off and
indexes of 95% and with this development as a company, is reflecting
for market share in corporate travel. Furthermore, the airline offers
to over 16 destinations while UATP cards are accepted for payment around
the world and are issued by many different airlines.
An American Express Travel poll of 402 agents and representatives show that this year the week between Christmas and New Year’s will be the most popular time for holiday travel. In fact, according to agents’ rankings, that particular week was significantly more popular than the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas (27%), during Thanksgiving (18%), after the New Year (8%) and before Thanksgiving (4%). The poll also revealed that 24% of agents are booking more holiday travel overall this year than last, with the majority (43%) saying that holiday vacation budgets are exceeding $2,000 per person. According to agents polled, top factors that consumers weigh when making holiday travel plans are: how well they suit their family’s interests, discounts/deals, available amenities and upgrades, advice from travel agents, ability to redeem rewards points, and convenient/easy to get to.
