Bank of New Zealand deploys NCR Predictive Services

NCR Corporation announced the Bank of New Zealand (BNZ) deployed its “Predictive Services” to predict failures before they occur on bank ATM networks. Designed for self-service technologies such as ATMs and retail self-checkouts, “Predictive Services” allows BNZ to reduce the downtime of its ATMs by a third across its 450-strong ATM fleet. The NCR “Predictive Services” collects more than ten times the typical amount of operational data from the network, including from individual components within each ATM, such as the card reader, receipt printer and cash dispenser. NCR “Predictive Services” is deployed in thousands of self-checkout lanes and ATMs around the world.

Citi and the NeuGroup Principles Define Cash Management

MasterCard Enhances Expense Management Platform

The new release not only strengthens current capabilities, but also provides companies with greater expense control and insight by automating and streamlining the workflow process for creating, submitting and approving employee expense reports. MasterCard SmartData serves 150 issuers and 466,000 companies in 53 countries, in all market segments as well as local, state, and federal government agencies. It features enhanced expense reporting; inControl integration; receipt upload functionality; online account maintenance; and paperless statements.

Fitch Affirms 16 Classes of Credit Card ABS

Fitch Ratings has affirmed 16 classes of U.S. Credit Card ABS transactions. The Global SF Criteria and U.S. Credit Card ABS Rating Criteria were used to review the transactions. The affirmations are based on the performance of the trusts in-line with the expectation. A Stable Outlook indicates that, as a result of the continued positive performance trend for these trusts, Fitch expects the ratings will remain stable for the next two years. Fitch’s analysis included a comparison of observed performance trends over the past few months to Fitch’s base case expectations for each outstanding rating category. As part of its ongoing surveillance efforts, Fitch will continue to monitor the performance of these trusts.

purchase order from the world’s largest semiconductor foundry for its
CLUSTERLINE 300II systems. These contracts augment recent orders
received from key semiconductor manufacturers in South Korea and Taiwan
for the same CLUSTERLINE 300mm systems aimed at the packaging market.
The growing success of the CLUSTERLINE 300II, a cluster tool
specifically designed for advanced packaging and backside metallization
(for wafer sizes up to 300mm), is due to key competitive advantages. The
quick qualification processes and better ‘cost of ownership’ parameters

Edgar, Dunn & Company (EDC) independent payments consultancy has released its “Citi Tap and Pay mobile NFC proximity payments pilot – Bengaluru, Results & Findings” white paper. The white paper captures views, perspectives and conclusions on the Citi “Tap and Pay” pilot service launched in the city of Bengaluru in July 2009. With over 3000 customers, 250 merchant locations and nearly 50,000 purchases made, the white paper reported positive customer feedback on all key fundamentals such as customer interest, usage and satisfaction. The pilot was conceived by Citi Growth Ventures, and spearheaded by Citibank India, in collaboration with Nokia, Vodafone, MasterCard and ViVotech.

Vast Majority of Card ABS is Holding Up

A recent review has found that the vast majority of credit card ABS classes remain well insulated from loss. The robust credit card structures combined with bank efforts to actively manage risk and in some cases increase transaction level credit enhancement have resulted in Fitch affirming 467, or 98% of its credit card ABS ratings including all ‘AAAs’. However, Fitch has revised 76 ratings to Rating Outlook Negative and 10 ratings were placed on “Rating Watch Negative.” Fitch Ratings also placed all 29 classes of U.S. credit card ABS transactions issued by 1st Financial Bank ‘Under Analysis’. Last month, 206 classes of Fitch rated U.S. credit card ABS transactions had ‘Under Analysis’ status, which Fitch has since reviewed. In the most recent review, Fitch applied a custom charge-off forecast for each trust. This forecast was derived by applying delinquency roll rates observed over the last six months to current delinquencies and incorporating the effect of Fitch’s unemployment forecast of 10% by early 2010.

Express 2009 Tower Club Wine Awards”. After the tasting of as
many as 330 red wines from every continent, the Trasgaia 2006 won three
prestigious awards: ‘Gold’, ‘Best of the Best’ and then in the end it was
also elected ‘Champion’ of all categories. The Villa Trasqua wine estate is situated in the south-west of Chianti
Classico, the oldest and best part of the vast Chianti district. Villa
Trasqua covers 120 hectares (almost 300 acres), of which about a third is
planted with grapes. Trasqua has been producing wine since 1968.

the MasterCard Development Program will leverage the benefits of local

and provide new solutions. MasterCard Europe has identified 149 card
features in
separate countries to provide the SEPA solution cost effectively, on a
microeconomic
level. These “best in class” categories include, for example, the
easiest ÃÂ¢ÃÂPIN change at
ATM’, the most convenient ‘mobile phone top-up’, and the most secure ÃÂ¢ÃÂmail
order/telephone order’solutions. In doing so, however, MasterCard
maintains the
overall SEPA features, including the electronic purse. “E-purse”
Migration through
MasterCard PayPass provides globally inter-operative payment solutions,
regardless
of the card currency. Additionally, MasterCard Europe’s “combo card” has
been
introduced with 5 banks in Finland. The “combo card” will serve as a
multi-function
payment card to combine debit and credit accounts, determined at the
time of
purchase by the cardholder. MasterCard Europe works with 51 European
countries
for the incorporation of (SEPA) and is a division of Mastercard.
MasterCard processes
over 16 billion transactions annually and serves consumers and
businesses in more than
210 countries and territories.
