Visa kicked-off its national marketing campaign on social, traditional and digital media channels to get the word out on its “Visa You and 10” Super Bowl Sweepstakes. Offering cardholders the chance to win a trip for themselves plus 10 friends to Super Bowl XLVI, the campaign features a long-form web film hosted on Visa’s Facebook page and YouTube channel, in addition to network commercials, “The Entry” and “Superfan Invitation,” telling the story of one fan who won the Visa You and 10 Super Bowl Sweepstakes with a swipe of his Visa card. The “Visa You and 10 Super Bowl Sweepstakes” requires no purchase or obligation to win and contestants need only use their Visa card through Dec. 27 for all an expenses paid trip to the big game.

Visa announced a new national promotion offering Visa cardholders the opportunity to win a trip for themselves and 10 friends to Super Bowl XLVI to witness first-hand all the sights, sounds and excitement of the biggest event in football. The “Visa You & 10 Super Bowl” Sweepstakes represents a key component of Visa’s integrated marketing campaign for the 2011 NFL season that will also include national advertising, social media executions, client and merchant activation programs, new NFL team relationships, and the seventh season of Financial Football, an educational program to promote financial literacy in high schools nationwide. Through Dec. 27, 2011, Visa cardholders in the United States will automatically be entered for a chance to win a trip for themselves and 10 friends to Super Bowl XLVI when they use their Visa card. The winner and all 10 of his or her guests will receive: tickets to the NFL Experience and Super Bowl XLVI in Indianapolis, Ind., roundtrip airfare and ground transportation, hotel accommodations, admission to a NFL-sponsored party, a meal with an NFL player, and a Visa gift card.
Visa announced a new travel-themed integrated marketing campaign, offering “Memory Mapper” to share their experiences through the introduction of a Facebook application. “Memory Mapper,” which uses Google Maps satellite technology and a consumer’s own photos, videos and captions to chronicle a visual story of their travels for a unique keepsake to share with friends and family, include a national promotion. The “Trip of a Lifetime Sweepstakes” promotion featuring a chance to win $100,000 to experience a dream vacation and national television and digital advertising which bring the Memory Mapper to life by profiling one family’s dream vacation surfing in Tahiti. This lets users upload photos and videos, input the locations in which each image originated, write captions, and add music to create a virtual keepsake of their adventures to share with family and friends via Facebook, email and Twitter.
Visa and Facebook have teamed to launch the “Visa Business Network.” The new application is built on the “Facebook Platform” for the small business arena. Under the deal, Visa will award a total of $2 million in advertising credits to Facebook, providing the first 20,000 U.S.-based businesses that join the “Visa Business Network” with a $100 “Facebook Ads” credit. The new “Visa Business Network” on the “Facebook Platform” will help small business owners tap into a global network of peers and advisers from among the more than 80,000 small businesses already on Facebook. It will also offer business tools such as “Google Docs,” “Google Calendar,” and “Google Sites,” as well as The Wall Street Journal marketing to help identify prospective customers.
The global initiative to unleash the potential of wireless e-commerce added sixteen new members Tuesday including VISA and MasterCard. Radicchio members now include 28 companies committed to promoting ‘Public Key Infrastructure’ or ‘PKI’ solutions for secure transactions over wireless networks.
