Fundtech launched Mobilescape VX, a device upgrade for its Mobilescape wireless card processing solution. The hardware combines Verifone’s VX 680 POS hardware with Fundtech’s software, transaction processing, wireless service, and customer support. The new handheld terminals include a color touch screen and an ARM11 processor, as well as compatibility with the web-based Mobilescape Manager platform. Mobilescape VX provides U.S. businesses with traveling sales personnel the capability to accept card payments from anywhere via a small, portable device that is compatible with the AT&T cellular network.
CU Business Group business services for credit unions is set to partner BankServ to provide mobile remote deposit, mobile banking, remote deposit capture and a variety of payment solutions to credit unions for their business members. With this, BankServ’s mobile RDC platform and mobile banking app available at a discount to CUBG’s more than 375 member credit unions in 43 states. BankServ’s partnerships with leading mobile banking providers allow it to offer an mBanking system that lets the bank or credit union add or subtract features as needed.
BankServ and NetDeposit remote deposit capture and electronic payment technologies have inked partnership agreements. With this, BankServ will acquire substantially all of the assets of NetDeposit from Zions Bancorporation, which include the the products and services of NetDeposit and all related customer contracts and agreements. This acquisition will more than double the the BankServ end user client base, creating the largest privately held, bank-independent processor of remote deposit capture transactions in the nation. The offering will serve more than 100,000 business locations and more than 500 financial institutions with market-leading products in Internet payments, Fedwire, SWIFT, mobile credit card payments, image cash letter processing, and all forms of check image capture.
NACHA members have elected Steve Ellis, EVP of Wells Fargo’s Wholesale Banking Group, as the Chairman of NACHA’s Board of Directors. Steve Ellis manages Wells Fargo’s Wholesale Services Group, that combines treasury management and sales, wholesale delivery, customer service, marketing and loan operations. A 17-year veteran of Wells Fargo, Ellis’ previous responsibilities included starting up and running the Wholesale Internet Solutions group that launched the Commercial Electronic Office(R) (CEO(R)) in 2000. NACHA is the leading organization in developing electronic solutions to improve the payments system.
