Apple FCU Extends PSCU Credit Card Servicing Agreement

Apple Federal Credit Union signed a contract extension for credit card servicing from PSCU Financial Services through 2014. The credit union has $1.4 billion in assets, 120,000 members and has been a member of the CUSO since 1987. The credit union’s portfolio of 24,000 accounts represents $60 million in outstandings. It is leveraging “AdvisorsPlus” experts to design promotional campaigns and has placed responsibility for the credit card program with one management team member. PSCU Financial Services serves more than 1,500 financial institutions, representing 16 million credit, debit, prepaid, electronic banking and online bill payment accounts.

PSCU Financial Services Deploys EMV Chip/PIN Plastics

PSCU Financial Services is one of the first in the credit union industry to offer plastics that incorporate both EMV chip and PIN technology. The CUSO worked closely with Andrews Federal Credit Union to launch the new card, which is now available to all PSCU Financial Services’ member-owners. EMV integrated circuit cards are widely used in Europe and other regions because this technology offers higher security than magnetic stripe. EMV cards that offer PIN approval are preferred by international travelers because they offer the convenience of use at unattended kiosks and ATMs.

in Las Vegas. Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union, University of Hawaii

received the “Call Center Innovator” award. These credit unions conducted cultural training to better align Total

Credit Unions to Promote Contactless Cards

FL-based PSCU Financial Services has launched a mass issuance campaign
with credit unions for contactless debit cards. The campaign allows
credit unions that register by June 30th to benefit from special
promotional activities from the credit union service provider. As part
of this special campaign, there is no minimum for cards ordered by
December 31st. Both MasterCard and Visa debit cards are included.

PSCU Joins Go Paperless, Go Green Promo

The nationâs largest credit union service organization is going green with the help of Fiserv. PSCU Financial Services’ new “Go Paperless, Go Green” campaign will sponsor the planting of one tree for every bill paid online by a new bill-pay subscriber at the financial institutionâs website from Jan. 19 through Feb. 28, 2009. This year, the two companies have set a goal of planting at least 7,000 trees in the John M. Bethea State Forest in Glen St. Mary, FL. PSCU’s “PayLynx” online bill payment platform is powered by Fiservâs “CheckFree Web RXP” electronic billing and payment service. This is the third year that Fiserv has teamed up with its customers and the Arbor Day Foundation to plant trees for new e-bills and online bill payments made by consumers. Co-sponsored by Fiserv and six of its financial institution customers, the 2008 campaigns resulted in the planting of almost 80,000 trees and thousands of new e-bill enrollments.
