PayFlex Systems USA employee benefit programs announced MasterCard Worldwide will be the preferred payment card provider for its “PayFlex HealthHub.” Offering a website that links healthcare, financial and wellness information with a single prepaid or debit card and customer call center at a central destination, PayFlex will facilitate its more than $1 billion in transactions annually for nearly one million participants nationwide with the “PayFlex HealthHub.” By extending its relationship with MasterCard, PayFlex will continue to provide a single, convenient card for employees to pay for all qualified healthcare expenses, whether through flexible spending accounts (FSAs), health savings accounts (HSAs) or health reimbursement arrangements (HRAs). This will allow companies to increase spending account adoption and significantly enhance their incentive management programs.
Coulomb Technologies electric vehicle (EV) charging station infrastructure unveiled the first ChargePoint Network charging station for electric plug-in vehicles that accepts MasterCard “PayPass” contactless payments. The two ChargePoint stations are part of the ChargePoint America program and allows EV drivers in the Bay Area to pay for parking and charging their electric cars quickly and conveniently by simply tapping their PayPass-enabled MasterCard card on a PayPass-equipped reader designed and developed by Uniform Industrial Corporation. Coulomb has shipped more than 850 ChargePoint stations worldwide and has installations in more than 14 Bay Area cities including San Francisco, San Jose and Walnut Creek, building on growing momentum to establish the Bay Area as an epicenter for electronic vehicle usage and infrastructure development. Coulomb Technologiesâ ChargePoint stations will continue to accept their proprietary ChargePass contactless payment cards, along with MasterCard PayPass contactless payments, allowing users to tap their PayPass cards or devices on PayPass readers located directly on the charging stations.
Citi is now a major sponsor of the proprietary Billing Revolution “Single-Click Checkout” mobile app service designed to process credit card transactions in-app or on mobile web sites. With “Single-Click Checkout,” users can conduct credit card purchases with their mobile devices from any web- or mobile-based merchant without entering a user name and password. With its ‘pop-over’ design, “Single-Click Checkout” is the first of its kind for mobile credit card transactions using a unique device ID . Once this is established, consumers can simply click on the goods and services they want. It is available to consumers on November 29.
Indyme Solutions has introduced its “QuickConnect” mobile application that speeds up staff response times to shoppers requiring assistance, POS staff needing help, or other urgent store events in need of a fast response. It lets retailers send instant notifications of such events to smart phones and PDAs in addition to Two-Way Radios, PA systems, and wireless phones. The application provides users with an easy-to-use interface to accept, decline, or re-assign a request providing an efficient way to escalate or forward the notification depending on the response.
TransCard has kicked off its “Switch for Free” prepaid processing solution for banks serving under- and un-banked consumers. With this, TransCard will waive the implementation fee for program managers and ISOs having been established at least 2 years that join the program. The bundled solution allows client customers with card portfolios- with at least $1 million in annual spend- a resource for seeking new partners while avoiding bank and processing implementation fees. Targeting reloadable prepaid portfolios, “Switch For Free” requires the program manager to be a registered ISO of a network association and is available to banks that wish to convert their prepaid agent program to a direct issuer program through the Community Bank Prepaid Program, partnered with Business Solutions, a subsidiary of the American Bankerâs Association.

Western Union acquired Custom House international business payments and foreign-exchange solutions to businesses to tap the SME business payments market. New features include enhanced purchase order presentment and matching, more efficient invoice workflow and approval capabilities, along with the ability for buyers and their suppliers to negotiate discounts for prompt payment. Bank of America Merrill Lynch has signed a three-year agreement with VHA health care network to provide purchasing cards and ePayables to VHA member organizations nationwide. This allows VHA members to enjoy rebates on charge-related activities based on volume. VHA serves 1,400 not-for-profit hospitals and more than 30,000 non-acute care providers across the U.S., with a platform for members to network and collaborate on solutions to common challenges. Bank of America Merrill Lynch purchasing card and ePayables solutions will help VHA members eliminate paper-intensive processes involved in purchases and vendor payments allowing them to manage available funds in real time, reducing risk and increasing control.
