Chemical Bank® announced the launch of the Dream® MasterCard®. The Dream® MasterCard® is exclusive to Chemical Bank customers in Michigan and offers generous rewards with no overlimit fees, penalty rates or late fees.
Starting this week, First Bankcard is expanding a credit card program announced in November in partnership with FICO, giving cardholders with First Bankcard-issued credit cards free access to their FICO® Scores, along with information on the key factors affecting their credit scores and the actions they can take to ensure good financial management habits. Credit card customers having “First National Bank of Omaha” branded credit cards were the first to receive their free FICO® Scores. The program is now being extended to customers of First Bankcard’s co-branded credit card partners who have credit cards issued by First Bankcard
Sport Chalet and First Bankcard have teamed up to launch a new Sport Chalet MasterCard® that allows customers to earn more rewards and, in select stores, receive their card instantly. Initially, three of Sport Chalet’s California stores ” La Cañada Flintridge, Torrance and Pleasanton ” will feature a new technology platform that allows an actual card to be instantly produced for customers who are approved on the spot at the store. The other stores will all have instant credit available, which means customers can apply, be approved and begin shopping at Sport Chalet prior to receiving their card in the mail. The instant issuance technology is expected to be rolled out to other Sport Chalet stores in 2014.
INDYCAR entered multi-year agreements with Discover Network and First Bankcard of the First National Bank of Omaha to offer a credit card program designed to provide rewards to fans, and with Segmint to deliver the digital analytics for the INDYCAR Discover credit card program. INDYCAR Discover credit card cardmembers can redeem accumulated reward points for exclusive experiences, including VIP access to Victory Lane at the Indianapolis 500 and breakfast with legends of the sport. Cardmembers can choose from a vintage look highlighting the start of the 1960 Indianapolis 500 or a modern look featuring the sleek 2012 IZOD IndyCar Series car.
First Bankcard, a top U.S. credit card issuer, announced the acquisition of 10 credit card portfolios, totaling $285 million, from FIA Card Services, N.A. The acquisition includes the portfolios of nine financial service providers – including industry leader New York Community Bank – totaling more than 1,000 branches. In addition to the New York Community Bank portfolio and the former Chrysler Financial portfolio, the acquisition includes relationships with Apple Bank, Chemical Bank, First Bank, First Farmers and Merchants and Old National Bank. Conversion of the portfolios is expected in 2012.
First National Bank of Omaha and Grand Ole Opry launched the Grand Ole Opry Visa Card Program with experiential rewards for country music fans. Such rewards include Opry tickets, hotel stays, VIP backstage passes and even the ability to sit onstage during a live performance. Opry cardholders will earn two points for every dollar spent on qualifying transactions at all Gaylord Entertainment properties including the Grand Ole Opry, the four Gaylord Hotels, Ryman Auditorium, General Jackson Showboat and Wildhorse Saloon and one point per dollar spent outside of Gaylord Entertainment properties.
American Express and First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO) have unveiled the “First National Bank of Omaha American Express” and the “First National Bank of Omaha Graphite American Express” credit cards and have begun issuing the American Express-branded cards on the American Express merchant network. The FNBO American Express credit card charges no annual fee; an introductory rate of 0% on purchases and balance transfers for 6 billing cycles; 2% cash back on gas and groceries and 1% cash back on all other purchases; $50 cash back on the first $500 spent using the card during the first 6 months the card is open; and access to additional benefits with roadside emergency assistance, travel accident insurance, supplemental car rental insurance, purchase protection, extended warranty and no pre-set spending limit. Meanwhile, the “FNBO Graphite American Express” credit card charges a $99 annual fee, waived the first year; an introductory rate of 0% on purchases and balance transfers for 6 billing cycles; 3% cash back on airline purchases, 2% cash back on gas and groceries, and 1% cash back on all other purchases; no foreign transaction fee; $100 cash back on the first $1,000 spent using the card during the first 3 months the card is open; and access to additional benefits including free domestic airline companion ticket, concierge travel service, roadside emergency assistance, travel accident insurance, supplemental car rental insurance, purchase protection, extended warranty and no pre-set spending limit.
First National Bank of Omaha credit card issuer and the Discover Network have launched of the “First National Bank of Omaha Discover” credit card. The two parties signed a multi-year agreement in August 2010 allowing First National Bank of Omaha to issue credit cards on the Discover network. First National Bank is now one of only three US banks with contracts to issue credit cards on all four major card networks. It provides users an introductory rate of 0% on purchases (6 mo) and balance transfers (12 mo); a cash back feature which allow cardholders to earn up to 5% depending on spend; eligibility to participate in the Discover “Everyday Giveaway Promotion”; and access to Discover’s “Cash Over” feature that allows cardholders to get $20-100 cash back at select retailers.
Discover Network and First National Bank of Omaha credit card issuer have inked multi-year agreements allowing First National Bank to issue credit cards on the Discover network. This will provide customers a greater choice when selecting a payment method. First National Bank of Omaha has more than 600 financial institution, co-brand, and affinity partners and is a Top 15 issuer of credit cards. First National and its affiliates have $17 billion in managed assets and more than 5,000 employee associates.
Overstock.com, First National Bank of Omaha and MasterCard Worldwide have made available the “Overstock.com MasterCard” credit card. Offering enhanced rewards for Overstock.com customers, the card offers customers additional savings on Overstock.com online purchases, as well as reward dollars on other purchases made when using the card. Customers who sign up for the “Overstock.com MasterCard” credit card will receive a free membership to “Club O Rewards” customer rewards program, giving customers access to shopping events; sweepstakes; free shipping and 5% back in “Club O Rewards Dollars” on Overstock.com purchases. The “Overstock.com MasterCard,” with an additional 3% back in Club O Rewards Dollars on Overstock.com purchases, gives users a total of 8% back in rewards dollars on qualified Overstock.com purchases, plus an additional $10 Club O Rewards Dollars credit the first time the card is used.
First National Bank of Omaha and Murphy USA have ink strategic partnership agreements to launch the “Murphy USA Visa Card.” The “Murphy USA Visa Card” will offer cardholders 4 cents ($0.04) off per gallon of gas at any Murphy USA or Murphy Express location and provide cardholders 1% cash back on qualifying credit card transactions. Cardholders will be able to redeem their 1% cash back in $25 increments either by phone or online. National Credit Card Center have teamed to offer a MasterCard with a cashback rebate.
The “Henry Schein Business Edition MasterCard with Cashback Rebate
Rewards” offers cardholders 2% cash back on the first $100,000 spent on
qualifying Henry Schein transactions and an additional rebate thereafter. The Henry Schein
Business Edition MasterCard with Maximum Rewards offers customers 1.5
points for each dollar spent on qualifying Henry Schein transactions, as well as 1
point per dollar spent on all other qualifying credit card transactions.
