Expedia has teamed with Citibank to launch a new travel cobranded credit card program to accelerate earning Expedia+ rewards bonus points. The program includes two new chip-enabled credit cards, the Expedia+ Card and the Expedia+ Voyager Card from Citi which run on the MasterCard network.
Expedia.com today announced it is now accepting bitcoin as a form of payment for hotel purchases. Offering travelers another way to book online, customers can now shop from the world-class inventory of a vast array of hotels available on Expedia.com, and for the first time ever beginning today, easily pay for their hotel accommodations using bitcoin.

Citi’s loyalty program “ThankYou Network” has unveiled an enhanced online Bonus
Center. Members now have access to hundreds of ways to earn extra ThankYou
points by shopping through the Bonus Center at ThankYou.com. Members can now gain even
more value from the Bonus Center with new benefits such as: “Daily Deal”,where members can earn at least 15 points per dollar
spent on limited quantities of hot new items offered daily; “MegaEarn Offers”, members can earn hundreds of extra points
on brand name merchandise and entertainment; “OpenTableÂ® Dining Reservations”, where members can earn ThankYou
bonus points for booking dining reservations online at more than 11,000

Citibank has rolled out a new points program to reward customers 40,000 “Thank You” points when they establish money market and checking accounts and perform specific banking activities. From February 25 through March 31, 2008, new and existing Citibank customers can receive “ThankYou Points” when they deposit $25,000 in a new or existing money market account; open a new qualifying Citibank checking account with a minimum deposit of $1,000, enroll it in “ThankYou Network” and make one direct deposit to or two electronic bill payments from the checking account each month for three consecutive months. Customers will then get up to 40,000 “ThankYou Points”, redeemable for up to two round-trip airline tickets to anywhere in the continental U.S., valued at up to $400 each, or any other reward available via ThankYou Network. Checking customers who are enrolled in the “ThankYou Network” can continue to receive Points every month for qualifying everyday banking activities. With the new card cardholders earn: up to 3 points for Expedia transactions: 2 points for eligible travel purchased on Expedia.com and 1 additional point for hotel, air + hotel, cruises or activities over $50 booked at Expedia.com, when the customer’s “ThankYou Member Account” number has been registered at Expedia. For an annual fee of $75, cardholders at the “Elite” level will earn: up to 3 points for Expedia transactions: 2 points for eligible travel purchased on Expedia.com and 1 additional point for hotel, air + hotel, cruises or activities over $50 booked at Expedia.com, when the customer’s ThankYou Member Account number has been registered at Expedia.
Smith Barney has joined Citi’s “ThankYou Network” rewards program as a sponsor, allowing Smith Barney clients to earn “ThankYou Points” for using products and services available from Smith Barney. Smith Barney joins Citi Cards, Citibank and Expedia.com as sponsors of ThankYou Network, which now includes more than 11 million members. Initially, Smith Barney will offer the no-fee rewards program to its clients with a Financial Management Account. Clients will receive one “ThankYou Point” per dollar spent on purchases made with their “Citi FMA MasterCard” linked to the FMA Account, with no limit on the points clients can earn and no expiration date. “ThankYou Network” replaces the Smith Barney “Travel and Rewards Program.” All unused points earned with the “FMA Card” were automatically transferred to the cardmembers’ new “ThankYou Member Accounts.”
Artist Peter Max is making 18 pieces of his artwork available to members of Citi’s reward program. For the first time members of the “ThankYou Network” can redeem points, starting at the 32,200 point level, for fine art. The free rewards program enables members to earn points from using participating Citi credit cards, banking at Citibank with an eligible checking account and booking qualified travel on Expedia.com. There are currently 11 million “ThankYou Network” members. Max has been referred to as a “Pop icon,” “Neo Fauvist,” “Abstract Expressionist” and America’s “Painter Laureate.” The Citi “ThankYou Network” is offering two original works painted in acrylic on canvas, ten signed lithograph prints, and six posters signed and dedicated to the recipient by Peter Max. In addition, members with high point levels can redeem their points to have Peter Max paint a custom portrait of their dreams.
