Fundtech launched Mobilescape VX, a device upgrade for its Mobilescape wireless card processing solution. The hardware combines Verifone’s VX 680 POS hardware with Fundtech’s software, transaction processing, wireless service, and customer support. The new handheld terminals include a color touch screen and an ARM11 processor, as well as compatibility with the web-based Mobilescape Manager platform. Mobilescape VX provides U.S. businesses with traveling sales personnel the capability to accept card payments from anywhere via a small, portable device that is compatible with the AT&T cellular network.
Fundtech global transaction banking solutions hired Peter Reynolds Managing Director for Fundtech EMEA Sales. As the head of EMEA sales, Reynolds is responsible for driving regional strategy and managing local teams. He reports to Chris Zingo, Global Head of Sales. Reynolds brings to Fundtech more than 12 years of sales and management experience in financial services. Most recently, he led the EMEA sales initiatives for treasury and risk management solutions provider, Reval. Prior to joining Reval, he was a Sales Director at Thomson Financial.
Fundtech announced it has hired Michael F. Jackson, Head of Americas Cash Management, brought on to lead Fundtech’s cash management business in the Americas as the company invests in and expands the business in this market. Jackson brings to Fundtech more than 25 years of experience in financial services, in areas including product strategy and product management, enterprise application software development, professional services, customer support, and bank operations. He was most recently Vice President of ACI’s Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) group. Before joining ACI he held various senior roles with S1 Corporation, including General Manager of the firm’s Americas Channel where he was instrumental in the design and development of S1’s Corporate Banking Application.
Fundtech global transaction banking solutions deployed Federal Reserve’s FedGlobal(R)ACH Payments as a part of Fundtech’s ACH solutions. Fundtech provides customers with access to the Federal Reserve Bank’s disclosure capabilities for International ACH Transactions (IAT). Financial institutions face challenges in complying with Regulation E of Section 1073 of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Protection Act. The FedGlobal ACH Payments service facilitates disclosure requirements and error resolution for financial institutions involved in the outbound, cross-border transfer of funds. This service complements Fundtech’s ACH solutions which automate ACH processes and provide ACH processor connectivity.
Fundtech enlisted Customers Bank and its 14 branches to deploys its “ACHplus” to improve ACH automation. Fundtech’s ACHplus automates mission-critical ACH processes to allow U.S. banks to scale up the volume of their ACH business significantly, while at the same time reducing cost, improving customer service and increasing customer loyalty and profitability. With ACHplus, Customers Bank gets a single ACH research facility, enabling the bank to streamline ACH processing and reduce risks, such as human error and potential fraud.

By providing these solutions, Fundtech enables financial institutions to comply with FFIEC guidance calling for layered security, with different controls at various points in a transaction process. Further, financial institutions are able to monetize these services, by selling to their customers and members. These impact Fundtech solution users of CASHplus; PAYplus USA and PAYplus Connect/GFX; ACHplus; and OrigiNET.
Fundtech transaction banking solutions announced First Bank has gone live with CASHplus Version 3.8. The turnkey cash management platform enables First Bank to deliver a scalable, flexible and customizable solution to the bank’s corporate customers. CASHplus provides regional and national U.S. banks with greater operational control and lower costs by centralizing and consolidating cash management on a single platform. First Bank implemented CASHplus Version 3.8 to extend new capabilities to the bank’s small business, mid-sized and large corporate customers. Features include multi-layered security, multi-browser support and enhanced entry screen layouts that even further improve usability.
