Spire Payments appointed Kamran Yazdanjoo Head of Global Product Development. Kamran brings to the role over 25 years’ experience and will be responsible for co-ordinating development activities in Spain, England, Scotland, Hong Kong and Russia, and spearheading the delivery of platforms and applications to support the company’s payment solution strategies. Before joining Spire Payments, Kamran served on the Board of Directors of Cubic Transportation Systems Limited as Director of Open Payments. In this role he led new product innovations and the strategy for open payments including mobile and NFC. Prior to this, Kamran was the Vice President of Global R&D at VeriFone Inc., with responsibility for products and services.
AIRTAG mobile shopping solutions collaborated with PayPal to bring new seamless features to the KFC Fast Track mobile wallet. Launched by KFC UK & Ireland and AIRTAG earlier this year, Fast Track enables customers to order and pay in advance for their meals before they arrive at the restaurant. Now, Fast Track users can login and check-out with PayPal making the transaction even faster and easier. Customers can create a Fast Track account using their existing PayPal account details by simply entering their username and password bypassing having to enter personal and bank or card details because, like any PayPal transaction, this information is stored securely within their PayPal account. KFC UK & Ireland chose AIRTAG’s AIRSHOP white label mobile wallet solution to launch Fast Track. Fast Track enables KFC customers to order and pay using the website, web app or mobile wallet from anytime and anywhere.
MasterCard Worldwide has appointed Glen Mahatlani VP, Acceptance Development for South Africa. He will be responsible for growing acceptance of MasterCard products, enabling acceptance at point of sale and ATMs. He is also tasked with driving the adoption and acceptance of new technologies and payment innovations such as mobile and contactless payment platforms. Additional responsibilities include developing alliances with acquiring banks, nurturing relationships with merchants and industry bodies and driving merchant education initiatives within the South African market. Mahatlani holds an Honours degree in Accounting Science from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Limpopo.
MasterCard Worldwide launched its official East African regional headquarters, bringing the number of MasterCard offices across the African continent to five. The new office will act as MasterCard’s liaison office for customer banks, business associates and consumers in its main markets as well as across the rest of the East African region. This will include a significant emphasis in the areas of card knowledge and skills development, advising on development of card acceptance infrastructure, new products, and developing partnerships with ‘technology enablers,’ as well as retailer education and best acceptance practice. MasterCard has already been active in the Kenyan market working with banks and other business organizations to advise on developing payment solutions.
Andrew Pilkington will assume leadership responsibilities for the J.P. Morgan Commercial Card business. He will continue to report to Gordon Smith, chief executive officer, Chase Card Services, and retain responsibility for the Canadian Consumer Card division. The Commercial Card business provides travel and entertainment card, purchasing card and single-use account solutions to thousands of private and public sector organizations around the world. He has also been designated the interim Principal Officer for JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A.’s Canadian branch and President of J.P. Morgan Bank Canada, and will continue to act as the Chairman of the Canada Management Committee. Pilkington joined Chase Card Services in 2008 and has led the growth of the business as chief executive officer of Chase Card Services Canada.

Randy Fowlie as President and CEO for RDM Corporation software and hardware products for electronic payment processing. Randy Fowlie joined the Board of RDM Corporation in September, 2010 and was then appointed interim CEO in early December. Previously, Mr. Fowlie operated a consulting practice since 2006 and was Vice President and General Manager, Digital Media, of Harris Corporation. From 1998 to 2005 he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Inscriber Technology Corporation, a software company acquired by Leitch in 2005. Previously Mr. Fowlie was a partner with KPMG LLP, Chartered Accountants. Randy holds a a B.B.A. (Honours) from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a Chartered Accountant.

He operated a consulting practice since 2006 after having previously held the position of Vice President and General Manager, Digital Media, of Harris Corporation software and hardware company. From 1998 to 2005 he served as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Inscriber Technology Corporation, a software company acquired by Leitch in 2005. Previously Mr. Fowlie was a partner with KPMG LLP, Chartered Accountants, where he worked from 1984 to 1998.
