NCR announced Golden Pacific Bank is deploying its mobile remote deposit capture as part of its mobile banking experience with Digital Insight. Consumers and small businesses banking with Golden Pacific will be able to deposit checks using their mobile banking app and their phone’s camera. Golden Pacific has implemented a number of initiatives to improve access for small businesses and recently won an award from the American Bankers Association for its use of technology in improving the application process in Small Business Association loans. Mobile remote deposit is part of a complete range of core banking functions powered by Digital Insight that Golden Pacific customers can complete on their mobile device including checking balances, viewing transaction history, bill pay, and funds transfers.
GECU is bringing convenient, intuitive, and easy-to-use services across both its digital and physical channels through the innovative technology of NCR. GECU credit union provides its members with online and mobile digital banking services from Digital Insight, an NCR company, while also installing NCR Interactive Teller in new neighborhood branches. GECU has agreed to renew Digital Insight’s suite of SaaS solutions including Online Banking, iOS and Android mobile and tablet banking, Remote Deposit Capture, FinanceWorks and Purchase Rewards.Financial institutions are continuing to adopt mobile services as mobile banking becomes more popular. According to a Digital Insight study1, mobile consumers access their financial information 66 percent more frequently than online, non-mobile consumers. Additionally, consumers using online, mobile and tablet log in approximately 30 times a month compared to consumers who only use online banking and log in less than 10 times a month.2
Square launched its software partner platform, collaborating with third parties to build new applications that complement Square’s suite of business services. The launch extends Works with Square, a program launched earlier this year to connect customers with more tools for their businesses. The new Xero integration is Square’s second available in the U.S. Since November, thousands of sellers have been saving time and improving accuracy with Square’s integration with QuickBooks, seamlessly importing their Square sales data into QuickBooks each day. “The Square/QuickBooks integration couldn’t have come at a better time for our growing business. Wells Fargo & Company and Isis®, the mobile commerce joint venture created by AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA, Inc. and Verizon Wireless, announced the first phase of an agreement that allows Wells Fargo Visa consumer credit card holders to load their cards into the Isis Mobile Wallet®. This launch enables cardholders to securely pay, redeem coupons and present loyalty credentials, all with the tap of their phone. Customers with one of the more than 50 Isis Ready® smartphones available from AT&T, T-Mobile or Verizon Wireless can receive an enhanced SIM card from their wireless carrier and download the Isis Mobile Wallet for free from Google Play.
Agilysys announced that Wet ‘n’ Wild Las Vegas water park selected its “InfoGenesis” POS solution to streamline food and beverage operations and enhance guest service. The park opened Memorial Day weekend. Agilysys “InfoGenesis POS” POS software combines powerful reporting and configuration capabilities in the back office with a fast, intuitive and easy-to-use terminal application. The flexible system is easy to set up, and its scalable architecture enables customers to add workstations without having to build out expensive infrastructure. It also integrates easily with other applications, such as gift card and guest management solutions. AJB Software Design integrated payment solutions launched its “FIPay Mobile” mobile payment application that allows Android and iPhone users to pay for gas purchases using their mobile phones while remaining in their car. It provides petroleum retailers the opportunity to attract new mobile-savvy consumers by deploying customized mobile applications without the need to make new investments or changes to their POS infrastructure. AJB unveiled the first mobile payment application in the Canadian Petroleum industry, through a successful pilot deployment at Hughes Car Wash, a Petroleum & C-Store retailer, based in Edmonton, Alberta. Consumers can now pay for gasoline and car washes with their mobile devices at the Hughes Car Wash flagship location in Edmonton, with plans to roll out the solution to additional locations over the next year. AJB’s “FIPay Mobile” is responsible for integrating with the PIN pad device and fuel pumps in the petroleum sector and is PCI-compliant through Cogeco, a PCI-DSS validated service provider.
Gemalto digital security is providing Standard Bank a multifunction EMV contactless payment card enabling users to pay for transit fares and other goods and services with one digital wallet. Standard Bank customers can now use the new MasterCard debit card to wave and pay directly at the gates in the public transport stations, without needing to carry cash or a separate travel card. The Muvo card initiative will help cardholders gain greater convenience while at the same time provide competitive advantages to Standard Bank and reduce the burden of managing cash on public transportation in the city of Durban. The Muvo card complies with the exacting requirements of the National Department of Transport (NDoT), which mandates the combination of payment and transport in one single application. This offers considerable potential to acquire new customers. These will include many who previously have been excluded from mainstream banking.
Isis mobile commerce JV between AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless launched the Isis Mobile Wallet in Austin and Salt Lake City, allowing consumers to select from nine Isis Ready handsets. Users then download the Isis Mobile Wallet application from Google Play Load an eligible American Express, Capital One or Chase credit card into the Isis Mobile Wallet or get started with the Isis Cash™ card that comes in every Wallet. The devices can then be used where contactless payments are accepted.

SmartPay now offers Level 3 Processing, which asks for more information from the cardholder like the invoice number, purchase amount and the tax amount. Matrix Payment Systems provides a full range of payment processing solutions to thousands of businesses across the country. With Matrix, customers can process all their credit cards at a low, all-inclusive rate by automatically processing Level 2 and Level 3 data simultaneously.
