GAAP revenue for 2013 was $4.81 billion compared with $4.44 billion in 2012. Adjusted revenue was $4.55 billion for the full year compared with $4.15 billion in 2012, an increase of 10%. Fiserv financial services technology solutions announced Dr. Kathy Herziger-Snider joined the company as vice president of channel management, Card Services. Here Dr. Herziger-Snider will provide strategic business development leadership, with a specific focus on the credit union segment, for the Card Services division. Herziger-Snider comes to Fiserv with extensive payments and core services industry expertise. Most recently she was vice president of product development at CO-OP Financial Services where her responsibilities included establishing execution and delivery of the organization product plan into the overall corporate strategy. In addition, she was responsible for the technical integration of mature and emerging products into competitive market strategies. She served at CO-OP Financial Services for 12 years in a variety of executive positions.
Dollar Bank has implemented WAUSAU Financial Systems’ “Deposit 24/7 Mobile” mobile remote deposit capture solution from its Deposit 24/7 Suite. The bank has seen great success, processing nearly 2,500 deposits totaling $500,000 through the solution. A 2011 Celent study notes that approximately 80 percent of surveyed financial institutions are considering a mobile RDC solution, but as a Javelin and USAA study shows, many aren’t taking action. Despite the benefits of the technology for all parties and its “must have” status to keep up with consumer demand and achieve cost savings, several of the 10 largest U.S. financial institutions still aren’t offering mobile RDC to customers. WAUSAU is currently expanding its “Deposit 24/7 Suite” to provide the small and mid-tier business markets a receivables hub that accepts checks and electronic payments for ACH and credit card.

Shift4 Corporation independent payment gateway completed its EMV certification process to Global Payments Canada. POS certified with Shift4 after June 2009 are now able to process EMV transactions just by adding a supported EMV device. Retailers whose systems were certified prior to June 2009 will need to have just a few minor modifications made to their code in order to be EMV-compliant. Shift4’s certification to Global Payments Canada currently covers chip-and-PIN transaction processing on the Ingenico iPP320 device; additional devices may be added in the future. The interface is available to all merchant types, supports all major card brands (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Interac, and JCB), and has received approval from the respective card associations.
CDS Global billing and remittance processing is acquiring PayDQ Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) solutions allowing it to manage the comprehensive billing and payment processing needs of billers. With this, CDS now offers paper-based remittance processing and mailing services to e-billing and e-payments with solutions for mobile, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), walk-in and remote deposit capture. This acquisition provides CDS Global with the electronic billing and payment technologies needed to allow the company to deliver a combined paper and electronic solution across multiple channels.
