First Data and Go Daddy Web hosting announced their partnership “Go Daddy Payment Solutions” application, designed to better serve the electronic payment needs of small businesses. The “Go Daddy Payment Solutions” will process eCommerce transactions online, giving customers a full-blown Web presence, complete with a website, shopping cart and online payment acceptance. Small merchants are embracing technology to stay ahead, with nearly half of all small merchants believe adopting new payment and marketing technologies are important to stay competitive.
First Data electronic commerce and payment processing and Webster Bank, N.A., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Webster Financial announced a new long-term deal extending their merchant services partnership. First Data will continue to provide merchant processing services to Webster’s customers at its 167 banking offices throughout the northeastern United States, allowing Webster clients to gain access to First Data’s full range of point-of-sale payment solutions.

This includes host and terminal options, next day funding and many other specific benefits merchants and resellers appreciate.
First Data Corporation electronic commerce and payment processing and SunTrust Banks renewed their merchant services partnership, SunTrust Merchant Services. The joint venture currently serves more than 67,000 merchant locations and processes more than $29 billion in card volume every year. First Data will continue managing day-to-day operations, risk management and merchant sales activities, while SunTrust will continue to build upon the growth of the business through its client-facing channels, including its retail branch network of more than 1,650 locations throughout the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions and wholesale-relationship sales force. First Data also provides SunTrust signature debit, credit, prepaid and commercial card processing, fraud prevention and detection, and card production services.
First Data electronic commerce and payment processing resigned Associated Bank to a long-term merchant services renewal agreement, by which First Data will continue to provide merchant processing services to the bank’s business clients nationwide, from large national merchants to local business owners. The bank’s clients will have access to a comprehensive line of electronic payment solutions for acceptance of all major credit cards including PIN and signature-based debit cards, gift cards, customized reporting and electronic check verification services.
The Georgia Restaurant Association, along with the National Restaurant Association and First Data announced the Georgia launch of the “TakeCharge” payment program, designed specifically for the restaurant industry. “TakeCharge” provides increased payment choices and attractive rates for credit card processing to small and mid-size merchants in addition to national chains. In addition to exclusive rates for credit card processing, members receive easy-to-understand billing; acceptance for all major credit cards provided through First Data’s alliances with various banks; PIN-secured and signature-based debit acceptance through leading networks like the STAR Network; and the availability of merchandising programs including loyalty and gift cards; Internet Protocol (IP) based, near instant processing; the TeleCheck Electronic Check Acceptance (ECA) service; and Dynamic Currency Conversion services.
