mopay announced the signing of a global carrier billing deal with the leading Chinese mobile gaming company Chukong Technologies (“Chukong”). The Beijing-based company has decided to integrate mopay’s Android software development kit (SDK) solution as an essential element in the overall billing module for game developers worldwide. The mopay interface will serve as Chukong’s Android default solution for a consumer that wants to pay for digital goods and services via carrier billing.

VeriFone Systems appointed Jennifer Miles president, VeriFone Americas; Bulent Ozayaz to president, VeriFone Southern Europe, Russia, Middle East and Northern Africa; Johan Tjärnberg to president, VeriFone Europe and Southern Africa; and Eliezer Yanay to chief operations officer. Miles joined VeriFone in 2001 and led the significant growth of the company’s North American business, including Retail, Global Security and Vertical Solutions, over the past 10 years. Ozayaz joined VeriFone in 2006 and has served as general manager of the company’s North American Wireless Solutions and VeriFone Media businesses. Tjärnberg joined VeriFone in 2012 through the acquisition of Point International and has served as Point’s CEO since 2010. In his seven years with Point, its payments-as-a-service offering saw significant growth and expansion into multiple European jurisdictions. Yanay joined VeriFone in 2006 and has led the company’s global R&D, supply chain and product management initiatives since 2011. In his previous role at VeriFone, Yanay was responsible for all operations and manufacturing in Israel, as well as business development, sales and marketing in Continental Europe, Southeastern Europe and Asia.

BOKU online mobile payments is now an approved carrier-billing gateway for the T-Mobile’s “Mall” digital storefront. This allows T-Mobile’s app and game developers to accept in-app payments from T-Mobile’s 34 million subscribers. Applications and games will be distributed and marketed through the T-Mobile Mall, and transactions completed using BOKU will be billed directly to a subscriber’s carrier bill. Game developers increase consumer conversion and expand their global customer reach simply by dropping the BOKU Android SDK into their application. BOKU’s highly developed technology that’s integrated across over 60 countries and hundreds of carriers handles everything from localization to payment authorization.
