The artwork of high school students Traeveon Reese and Martha Estrada will soon appear in the wallets of thousands of debit cardholders in north Texas. The aspiring artists’ designs are being featured on the new Spirit Debit Reward cards, offered by Texas Trust Credit Union.
Reinforcing its position as a world leader in payments switching, FIS, the world’s largest provider of banking and payments technology, announced that it has been selected by eftpos to build its new Australian payments hub. The most commonly used debit card system in Australia is eftpos and it accounts for roughly 70% of the country’s debit card transactions. FIS’ global EFT switching platform will be at the heart of the new hub infrastructure, replacing Australia’s current bilateral networks and processing millions of eftpos transactions each day across the country. The eftpos payments hub will be operational in 2014. The payments hub aims to cut costs, reduce complexity and improve efficiency.
eftpos would begin mobile payments trials with selected Australian retailers in the next few months as eftpos had signed a five-year agreement with C-SAM to provide an eftpos mobile wallet and NFC widget, to meet the needs of eftpos in the Australian market. The C-SAM platform will enable eftpos to offer smartphone users a comprehensive mobile wallet for conducting secure near-field-communication (NFC) transactions related to payments and other value-added services.
Fiserv financial services technology solutions announced six financial institutions have implemented Cleartouch from Fiserv for account processing, online banking, risk management, check capture, mobile banking, document imaging, card production, bill payment and accounting. The Cleartouch bank platform is an integrated, end-to-end solution that delivers real-time capabilities. The banks include Mansfield Bank, a $372-million bank headquartered in Mansfield, Mass.; The Home Building & Loan Company, a $43-million bank in Greenfield, Ohio; Kennebec Federal Savings & Loan Association in Kennebec, Maine; Magyar Bank, headquartered in New Brunswick, N.J.; Webster City Federal Savings Bank, a $91-million bank in Webster City, Iowa; and Winchester Savings Bank in Winchester, Mass.

Texas Trust Credit Union partnered Allpoint ATM network to offer TTCU members fee-free ATM access, whom can now use any Allpoint ATM, fee-free. Texas Trust members receive unlimited surcharge-free transactions through more than 43,000 Allpoint ATMs in the United States and beyond. These ATMS are located in destination retail outlets that include major discount retailers, and convenience, grocery, and pharmacy stores.
Texas Trust Credit Union is introducing its “Spirit Debit Rewards,” allowing cardholders to help schools earn cash for the classroom with every swipe of their Texas Trust Credit Union Spirit Debit Reward card. Participating schools will receive 15 cents every time an active Spirit Debit card is used to make a purchase. With more than 1,100 active card-carrying Spirit Debit cardholders, Texas Trust Credit Union anticipates giving away $75,000 this school year to the schools enrolled in the program. Schools will receive a check each month for cardholders’ previous months purchases.
TNB will take over the processing of the 2,500 debit and 1,500 credit
card portfolio of TX-based Security One Federal Credit Union.
The new processing agreement enables Security One to issue new credit
union-designed plastics for its card-carrying members. Debit cardholders
receive a Texas-themed card and credit cardholders will receive a
patriotic card with an
image of an eagle and U.S. flag. TNB will take over the processing of
approximately 2,500 signature debit
accounts and 1,500 credit cards with outstanding balances exceeding $2
The Security One FCU credit card program will be evaluated by TNBâs
consulting team to assess pricing, product, and risk in correlation with
Security One also plans to roll out TNBâs Rewards2U loyalty program for
signature debit and credit cardholders. The credit union will leverage
for other credit union products and services, such as online bill pay,
and auto loans in addition to using it to reward cardholders for usage.

BancorpSouth has selected PULSE as its sole PIN debit network provider for its 325,000 debit cardholders in Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Tennessee and Texas. In addition to ATM and PIN debit network services, PULSE also provides the bank with gateway access to other networks. First Data has extended its relationship with BancorpSouth for credit and debit card processing as well as merchant processing services. The multi-year extension calls for FDC to continue to provide transaction processing services for BancorpSouth’s 90,000 credit card accounts and 400,000 signature-based debit cards. In addition, BancorpSouth has extended its agreement with First Data for merchant processing services for its 4,000 merchants.
Dallas-based TNB Card Services has signed agent issuing agreements with four credit unions to purchase and manage their credit card portfolios. Laredo Federal Credit Union, Arlington Federal Credit Union, El Paso Employees Federal Credit Union, and LeTourneau Federal Credit Union are current TNB clients that have chosen TNB as their agent issuer partner. Laredo has 2,000 card accounts. Arlington has 900 card accounts. El Paso Employees has 2,500 card accounts. LeTourneau has 200 card accounts.
