Capital One Second Look(SM) goes beyond traditional fraud detection for Capital One card customers, flagging potentially duplicate charges, auto-renewing subscriptions and increases in recurring charges that are commonly overlooked. Capital One offers a broad spectrum of financial products and services to consumers, small businesses and commercial clients through a variety of channels.
Kohl’s Department Stores and Capital One announced a multi-year extension of their private label credit card program agreement. The contract extension with Kohl’s enables consumers to have expanded buying power and solidifies an already strong partnership. Kohl’s high product standards and the company’s focus on customer service extends through its private label credit card program which offers cardholders access to exclusive offers, guaranteed savings and online payment services. Capital One’s long-term partnership with Kohl’s reinforces the company’s commitment to grow its Credit Card Partnership business.

The new agreement offers access to easy, international, online payments from Ukash, without the need for traditional banking information – a key step for Africans keen to embrace the online world. ProfPay operates a multi-method payment gateway and an Online Mall, designed to remove the barriers African consumers face when transacting online – whether it’s playing games or shopping or paying for services. Figures suggest that the ecommerce market in Africa will grow to $75 billion by 2025, making it 10% of all retail sales*. However, today Africans encounter huge issues participating in the online world due to concerns about security and a lack of bank accounts and postal addresses.

The contract covers revolving financing for BRP’s Ski-Doo snowmobiles, Sea-Doo watercraft and Can-Am all-terrain vehicles, side-by-side vehicles and Spyder roadsters sold by BRP dealers in the United States. Capital One’s partnership with BRP provides consumers with access to credit that can be used for accessories, services and/or vehicles at BRP dealerships. Offerings include a Life of Loan product, which is designed to be paid off over a set term, as well as promotional rate financing options, which have a low intro APR for a set period of time.

Six credit unions recently signed new contracts for single-sourced, comprehensive processing services with Vantiv integrated payment processors. Vantiv will provide ATM and debit card transaction processing, ATM driving, card production and network gateway access, in addition to strategic consultation and guidance to credit unions helping them to acquire and retain members, build loyalty and increase revenue while creating payment efficiencies.
Capital One Financial Corporation launched its Journey Credit Tracker interactive online credit education tool for “Journey Student Rewards” Credit Card customers. The customized tool powered by Credit Karma offers Journey cardholders free access to their monthly TransUnion credit score and profile in addition to a variety of tools to help them learn about credit. The Journey “Credit Tracker” web site offers students interactive tools that allow them to quickly and easily monitor their credit score and keep tabs on different credit factors impacting their score. Users can also compare their credit score to that of their peers by age or location, and the “Credit Simulator” lets users virtually simulate how certain financial choices will impact their credit score. Journey is designed to help college students build their credit with confidence and reward them for responsible credit use.
