PayConex P2PE encrypts credit and debit card data in a secure point of entry device, ensuring that clear-text cardholder data does not reach the merchant’s POS systems and networks where it could be exposed to malware.
Quality Associates services and solutions for large-scale document management, imaging and archiving, implemented a custom remote check deposit solution for The Fund for Johns Hopkins Medicine (FJHM). The philanthropic arm of Johns Hopkins Medicine, raising money to support treatment, research and educational programs for Johns Hopkins Medicine, processes approximately 45,000 donor checks collected by 15 separate development offices. With this remote deposit solution, data capture, information sharing, check deposit and posting occur electronically within 3 days.
MD-based National Institutes of Health Federal Credit Union
(NIHFCU) will outsource the management of its ATMs to payment processor First Data.
The credit union also has renewed its agreement for electronic funds
transfer (EFT) services through First Dataâs STAR Network. First Data and its partner NCR will provide full-service ATM management
services, including ATM driving hardware and software, ATM first line
and second line maintenance, and Check 21 deposit acceptance. NIHFCU
will use NCR APTRA Deposit Gateway, a web-based software-as-a-service
(SaaS) solution that enables financial institutions to perform check
image processing for envelope-free deposits made at the ATM.
In addition to providing STAR Network access, First Data also will
provide signature debit processing, and the credit unionâs account
holders gain access to more than 37,000 surcharge-free ATMs through
STARsf. NIHFCU also offers access to its cardholders at other
surcharge-free ATM networks. STAR is one of the nationâs leading EFT networks with more than two
million retail and ATM locations. The network has processed more than
3.6 debit transactions in the U.S. in each of the last three years.
NIHFCU currently serves more than 42,000 members through 10 branches and 28
NIHFCU-owned ATMs conveniently located in the Washington, D.C. and
Baltimore, Md. metro areas.
MD-based payment solution provider Merchant Link’s TransactionVault hosted
credit card data tokenization was selected by Fantasy Springs Resort Casino.
The system replaces guest credit card
numbers with unique “tokens,” which can be used for all transactions,
folios, customer analytics, and marketing. Unlike other tokenization
products, TransactionVault for Lodging assigns unique tokens for each
credit card, as opposed to each transaction. Guests’ actual credit card
information is removed and safeguarded at one of Merchant Link’s secure
data centers.
