America First Credit Union recently donated $2,000 in scholarships to two students during the American Legion Utah Boys State summer youth camp at Weber State University. Recipients Tyler Evans from Duchesne High School and Carter Whitby from the Northern Utah Academy for Math, Engineering and Science (NUAMES) each received $1,000 in scholarship funds for use at a Utah college or university of their choice.

Tyfone’s CSC solution uniquely combines centralized data with local, device validation to strengthen and simplify the centralized storing of passwords, credit card numbers and other digital ID credentials, optimally ensuring security to keep passwords, payment and biometric ID information out of the hands of cybercriminals. Tyfone’s CSC solution operates much like the traditional plastic smart card systems already in widespread use, but has a much smaller physical footprint and uniquely has the ability to connect to any mobile device, tablet or PC. Virtual Piggy has been selected as a finalist at the SWIFT Innotribe Startup Showcase in the Innovator category for growth-stage start-ups in the London region. The company will present its technology alongside finalists from other regions in Dubai this September. Virtual Piggy competed against 14 other startups at the Innotribe Challenge Showcase in London last week to secure its place as a finalist for the $50,000 grand prize and continuous exposure to investors and financial institutions via the SWIFT global community. Having presented its payment solution to a panel of the financial industry’s leading angels, VC’s and decision makers, Virtual Piggy demonstrated how its financial management allows youth under 18 to make purchasing, saving and other money management decisions for themselves.
Cardlytics Transaction-Driven Marketing platform has been deployed by America First Credit Union for targeted member rewards. America First Credit Union implemented the platform through an ongoing partnership between Cardlytics and Fiserv. Selecting offers, account holders can activate or “accept” rewards before redeeming them at a number of national, local and online retailers. There are no coupons or promotion codes required and no member data ever leaves the credit union’s secure environment.Members can easily opt-out of the rewards offers, but activation rates prove broad consumer acceptance of Cardlytics’ programs.
Wright-Patt Credit Union will now implement “APTRA” Interactive Teller from NCR Corporation, allowing members to conduct remote, assisted-teller transactions over an ATM, interacting live with a centralized Wright-Patt teller who has control of the machine. APTRA Interactive Teller is part of NCR’s assisted service suite of solutions, combining the best of video collaboration and remote transaction-processing technology on an ATM. This will ultimately offer teller services after the branch has closed and add branch services in areas where they do not have a branch presence. Wright-Patt will install 12 walk-up units in branch lobbies and off-site locations, and seven additional units in branch drive-throughs. It also allows customers to perform secure transactions without using a traditional ATM card and, like branch tellers, remote tellers can provide customers access to cash in their accounts in amounts over the standard ATM daily cash withdrawal limits.
Coastal Federal Credit Union, a $2 billion not-for-profit member-owned financial cooperative serving North Carolina, has extended its members’ mobile banking experience by enabling them to use their mobile device camera to scan and deposit checks using mobile software from NCR Corporation (NCR). Coastal Federal was one of the first financial institutions to launch mobile check deposit integrated into APTRA Mobile Banking. NCR APTRA Passport Remote Deposit Capture software with the mobile banking app offers a range of core banking functions on their mobile device including balances, transaction history, bill pay, and funds transfers – and now deposit checks without leaving their home. Members just choose a “deposit check” option where they will be prompted to take a photo of the front and back of the check. After confirming the value of the check, the check image will be transmitted for processing.
CoVantage Credit Union (CVCU) made available the Tyfone mobile wallet services to its members. The Tyfone solution brings mobile wallet services such as Symitar Episys core integrated mobile banking, enhanced strong ID authentication mobile security and a path to NFC contactless payment technology to its more than 66,000 members. It offers a range of features delivered to banking customers via mobile application, mobile websites or text messaging. Users can check balance, account history review, conduct fund transfers, branch and ATM location lookup and customizable alerts. Additionally, customers can aggregate accounts to view and manage multiple accounts with just a single login while the ORCC bill payment services offer CVCU members the ability to create and manage payees, and schedule and edit bills as needed. Tyfone Mobile Banking is built on its “u4ia” mobile financial services platform that also enables contactless payments using NFC and strong authentication ID management.
