Fiserv financial services technology solutions has introduced its “OneView” user interface for APL managed accounts platform. With the “OneView” roles-based design, it brings workflow, exception reporting and simplicity to the APL platform to reduce the learning curve for APL users. It lets sponsors, money managers, overlay managers, advisors, outsourcers, banks and Turnkey Asset Management (TAMP) clients to more quickly and easily locate the information they are seeking as they are serving their investors. The “OneView” features the ribbon menu bar that Microsoft(R) introduced with its 2007 Microsoft Office(R) suite.
X2 Computing mobile computing solutions has made available its “X2410” and “X2415″ handheld computers for improved work flow and enhanced productivity in retail and POS apps and payment processing. The handhelds feature a 3.5” resistive touch, outdoor-viewable display with fully-integrated MSR, RFID reader and barcode scanners. The X2 handheld devices also include remote management software with rugged design for IP54 rating of liquid and dust resistance; hot-swappable batteries that support up to eight hours of use; programmable buttons; wireless networking; Bluetooth connectivity; and LED paging alert capability.

Argility has successfully ported its Active Retail Enterprise solution to the Fujitsu “TeamPoS 3600” POS system, creating a Fujitsu “RetailReady” solution that will give retailers a seamless, cost-effective approach to integrating and implementing in-store hardware and software. With POS transactions, stock management, and back office processing at store level, it also facilitates consolidation of information at head office level with the ability to configure and control the manner in which the system works in individual stores. The “TeamPoS 3600” POS system manages information between each store and head office and can be integrated with other applications such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and merchandising solutions. It can also co-exist with other client or 3rd party offerings to create a total retail solution. The POS system is designed to help retailers drive down costs and increase return on their IT investment with a modular design that allows the system to grow and change with the retailing environment.

Hospitality, a global enterprise resource planning solution (ERP).

FL-based Revolution Money has announced the availability of its
“MoneyExchange” plug-in for AOL’s AIM instant message service to send
and receive money. AIM users with “MoneyExchange” accounts can now send
and request money through the AIM Buddy List feature for free.
MoneyExchange accounts are issued by First Bank & Trust, Brookings, S.D.
and part of the Fishback Financial Corporation. Revolution Money was
created to deliver significant value to both
consumers and merchants through two products, “RevolutionCard” and
“Revolution MoneyExchange”. The RevolutionCard eliminates costly
interchange fees for merchants while simultaneously providing consumers
with enhanced PIN- based security, identity protection and numerous
merchant discounts and incentives.
Security solution provider Symark International has joined the PCI Security Vendor Alliance at the “Platinum” level. Symark is the developer of the “PowerSeries” information security solutions for managing privileged account access. Symark’s solutions help organizations meet the specific requirements laid out in several sections of the PCI standard, including: Section 2 (vendor-supplied system passwords and other security parameters cannot be used as defaults), Section 7 (access to data must be restricted based on role within the business) and Section 8 (a unique ID must be assigned to each employee with access to the network).
Rent-A-Center has partnered with Diebold to install seven “Diebold Express Cash Recyclers” as part of an agreement by which Rent-A-Center will purchase 500 units through the next two and a half years. The cash recyclers automatically count, authenticate and securely safeguard cash deposited by clients. That same cash is later dispensed for customer cash withdrawals. Diebold teamed with Arcatech Systems, a supplier of transaction automation components, to design and manufacture ECRs to penetrate the teller market with an automated recycling solution specifically designed for North America.
Microsoft has joined with MasterCard Worldwide, FedEx Corporate Services and Bank of America Corp for Microsoft’s “Startup Center”, a business tool for entrepreneurs. An extension of Microsoft’s Small Business Center Web site, “StartUp Center” provides comprehensive advice that people can use to take action to turn a business idea into a legitimate launch. MasterCard Worldwide will provide Startup Center users with access to flexible cash-flow management solutions, business intelligence, and special programs and services. The MasterCard Find-a-Card tool is also available on the Startup Center to provide entrepreneurs with easy access to cash-flow management solutions.
Obopay has released a plugin for AOL AIM users to send payments from their “Buddy List”. Eligible AIM users can link directly to their mobile payment account to immediately send money to the mobile phone of any of their AIM buddies who have signed up for the Obopay service. Once the AIM user has downloaded the AIM Obopay plugin, he or she simply clicks “Actions” on the AIM Buddy List feature, then clicks “Send money using Obopay.” To spend or withdraw money, users can choose to link their bank account to their Obopay account and then transfer funds or users can sign up for and use the optional Obopay pre-paid debit card from MasterCard. Obopay is a service provider for payments over mobile phones.
