The Dime Savings Bank of Williamsburgh announced the launch of its new mobile banking product, Dime Mobile Banking, which allows users to pay bills, transfer funds, and check on account status from the convenience of their smartphone.

AnywhereCommerce, a global payments technology provider, has named Debra McAteer as vice president of sales for US resellers and ISOs. McAteer will oversee the company’s channel initiatives, and work directly with AnywhereCommerce’s network of merchant acquirers, ISOs and payment processors across the country. Prior to joining AnywhereCommerce, McAteer served as vice president of sales for major accounts at Equinox, where she spent the past 13 years. Prior to her time at Equinox, she served in sales capacities at Linkpoint, and at First Data.

Bidmead comes to the company after several senior executive roles with industry giants First Data, VeriFone and ACI where he led large teams of personnel and drove important deals in the areas of electronic payments, cards, authorization and settlement systems, as well as software and telecommunications.Rounding out the expanded international management team is Jimmy Quake who has some 20 years of experience in the payments sector, and will serve as AnywhereCommerce’s senior vice president for the Asia-Pacific region, and will lead business development and market expansion efforts in that locale. Before joining AnywhereCommerce, Quake served as vice president for ViVoTech, and held a number of executive positions for VeriFone in Australia and Asia.

Virtual Piggy (VPIG) will run the first hackathon designed for youth 19 years old and under in the Los Angeles area on Dec 7, 2013.
