ICMA 2003

The International Card Manufacturers Association’s EXPO currently
being held this week in Vancouver announced it will hold next year’s event
in Cancun, Mexico. The “12th Annual Card Manufacturing EXPO” will be held
November 9 – November 12, 2003 at the Fiesta Americana Grand Coral Beach.
The EXPO will include a full conference program consisting of both
management and technical topics, and will feature an exhibition of
suppliers of card manufacturing and personalization equipment, materials,
components and services. The “Fifth Annual Global Market Survey” results
will be announced, which unveils how the card manufacturing industry has
grown or changed and reveals major trends for the future. Additionally, the
“Second Annual ICMA Spiritus Award” will be presented to an ICMA member
company that has implemented outstanding programs that have had significant
impact on society or their own community. The EXPO will conclude with the
“Final Night Awards Dinner” featuring the presentation of the “Seventh
Annual Elan Awards” for “Card Manufacturing Excellence” recognizing card
manufacturing achievement for both “Outstanding Card Design” and “Technical
Achievement.”

ICMA 2002

The International Card Manufacturers Association has elected one new board member and re-elected an existing board member for the 2002-2004 term. Ed Gresham of Giesecke & Devrient Systems Canada was elected to the board of directors. Re-elected to the board was Herbert Grün of Giesecke & Devrient, Germany. Directors whose terms expire in 2003 include Dean Warner of Oberthur Card Systems; Jim Pokornowski of Allsafe Company;, Bob Emerson of Bull Card Systems; Peter Cox of ID Data Systems; Fernando Bautista of Thomas Greg & Sons; Derek Chaplin of S&G Africard; and Steve Knapp of Personix. The International Card Manufacturers Association will hold its 11th Annual EXPO in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The event will be held September 29 – October 2, 2002, at the Westin Bayshore Resort.

The world’s premier card manufacturing
association the International Card Manufacturers Association (ICMA)will
hold its
11th Annual EXPO in Athens, Greece. The event will be held November 11-14,
2001, at the Athenaeum Inter-Continental Hotel. Known for centuries as a
leading center of knowledge, the Athens location will complement ICMA’s
in-depth educational conference for card manufacturers, personalizers, and
product and service providers.

The ICMA 11th Annual EXPO 2001 will feature an exhibition of plastic card
suppliers of card manufacturing equipment, materials, components and
services.
ICMA has a full conference program planned consisting of both management and
technical topics. The EXPO culminates with the Final Night Awards Banquet
featuring the presentation of the Élan Awards for Card Manufacturing
Excellence.

card industry trends and production, personalization, technical, application
