Barclaycard US is going all out to capture the Super Bowl fever with its NFL Extra Points Visa credit card. The exclusive card is offering free Super Bowl tickets and access to NFL experiences.
Visa has renewed its sponsorship with the NFL for another five seasons. Under terms of the new deal Visa will get a top-tier sponsorship of the “NFL Draft” and “NFL Kickoff,” exclusive experiences for Visa clients to utilize in their Visa card marketing programs, a Visa and NFL co-branded online portal on NFL.com for “Visa Signature” cardholders to obtain access to one-of-a-kind NFL experiences and expanded presence and preference for NFL-related transactions through various sales channels. Visa will unveil an NFL-themed national television advertising campaign with extensions across multiple environments. Throughout the season, print advertisements will also appear in in-stadium game day team programs of Visa-sponsored teams as well as in “Pro Bowl” and “Super Bowl” programs. For the fifth consecutive season, Visa also presents the “Visa Halftime Report” on FOX NFL broadcasts. In the current financial year, 600 financial institutions and merchants utilized Visaâs sponsorship of the NFL and generated 32 million pieces of communication for their customers.

VISA USA has launched a new print and online advertising campaign for its “Life Takes VISA” brand advertising platform. The new campaign uses print and online channels as well as specific merchant partnerships. The multi-million-dollar campaign also includes an innovative online consumer destination that will provide consumers access to whatever “Life Takes.” Partners such as Banana Republic, Sony and NFLShop.com will provide discounts available only to VISA cardholders that will be featured online throughout the entire campaign as well as in upcoming print executions during the holiday time frame. The campaign kicks off with print advertising in the October issues of national publications. The campaign also features an online marketplace at lifetakesvisa.com, designed to serve as a “digital magazine” of deals and content.
VISA U.S.A. unveiled its fall lineup of consumer promotions and new merchant partners for its NFL sponsorship. This year, VISA and its partners will be giving away at least six trips to ‘Super Bowl XXXV’ in Tampa Bay Florida. Merchant partners include DirectTV, New York City Transit, Kroger, and NFLShop.com. VISA says it will conduct a supermarkets promotion beginning Sept. 1 that will automatically enter all VISA cardholders using their VISA card in a supermarket to win a trip to Super Bowl XXXV or one of forty $500 VISA NFL gift cards. VISA cardholders will also be automatically entered to win when they sign up for automatic bill pay with DirecTV for a trip to the Super Bowl, $500 VISA NFL gift cards and NFL leather jackets. In October and November, subway riders who use a VISA card to purchase NYC Transit Metro Cards will be automatically entered to win a trip to the Super Bowl.
