Fujitsu front-end solutions and Triton Systems ATMs and ATM management software announced they will offer the Fujitsu G60 bill recycling unit in the ARGO 7 ATM. The integrated solution will be on display in the Triton booth number 508 at the ATMIA 2014 US Conference in Orlando, FL. The ATMIA USA annual conference and expo is the largest ATM-focused event in the world and this year’s event marks its 15th anniversary. Triton’s ARGO 7 ATM features a color touchscreen, supports the eco-friendly option of sending SMS text, email or printed receipts, reducing each machine’s carbon footprint and resulting in cost savings over the life of the ATM. Also it can be configured with a business hours or level one safe and is EMV ready. The Fujitsu G60, with up to 1,900 notes capacity, features 4 recycling cassettes, 1 deposit cassette and 1 optional F53 loading cassette. Diebold will upgrade the Denali Alaskan Federal Credit Union ATM fleet and provide a variety of integrated services. Diebold is replacing the credit union ATMs with 48 of its “Opteva” ATMs, most of which include Diebold’s leading deposit automation technology, and maximizing Denali Alaskan’s ATM uptime and reducing the credit union’s maintenance with remote and on-site services with its “Integrated Services” offering. These outsourced services will help the credit union provide a richer consumer experience and realize improved efficiencies with minimal capital investment.

BB&T Corporation is set to deploy 100 Diebold “Opteva” ATMs in its self-service network. Featuring touch-screen capabilities for ease of use and PIN pad shields for enhanced user privacy, the ATMs will be installed at numerous branch and off-premise locations throughout nine states and will also provide maintenance and support services. The ATM models feature touch-screen capabilities and are designed to improve customer experiences at the ATM. With it, the PIN pad shields on the new ATMs will also improve user experiences by enhancing security and mitigating fraud, guarding against shoulder surfing. BB&T will also utilize two weather-resistive cash dispensers in the bank’s new disaster recovery and special events mobile unit.
Wincor Nixdorf has finalized a deal with Winston-Salem based BB&T Corporation to provide ATM hardware and associated services for up to 100 branch and off-premise locations in North Carolina and Florida. The 100 new ATMs will all feature touch screen capabilities, a new functional enhancement for the BB&T fleet. These units will be equipped with Wincor Nixdorf’s ProFlex multi-vendor ATM software. In addition to its ATMs, Wincor Nixdorf also offers “ProFlex” advanced multi-vendor software platform that allows all ATMs to work together seamlessly, regardless of manufacturer. Wincor was the first to develop multi-vendor software and currently leads the industry in the total number of installations worldwide.

NCR Corporation reported financial results for 1Q/11 with a revenue of $1.1 billion-up 6% from the year ago figure- thanks to a favorable impact of 2% from foreign currency translation. NCR’s Financial Services segment generated first-quarter revenue of $592 million, up 3% year-over-year, across most geographies. Meanwhile, the Retail & Hospitality segment reported revenue of $376 million, up 5% from 1Q/10 thanks to continued customer adoption of self-checkout solutions as well as assisted POS deployment. Entertainment revenue of $37 million increased 106 percent from the $18 million recorded in the first quarter of 2010, up 16% from the previous quarter thanks to same store sales growth, new entertainment kiosk deployments and the Company’s strategy to redeploy selected kiosks to better performing locations.
NCR has now installed more intelligent deposit ATMs than any other manufacturer in key global regions, including Europe, MEA and North America according to a report from Retail Banking Research (RBR), including its new “SelfServ 16” compact ATM. With this growth, NCR expects 2011 revenues to increase 5-7% on a constant currency basis compared with 2010. Including the continuing investment in the entertainment portfolio, the company now expects its full-year 2011 Income from Operations (GAAP) to be $170 million to $185 million and non-GAAP non-pension operating income (NPOI) (2) to be in the range of $380 to $395 million.
