Customers in the UK simply need to log in to their PayPal account once they’ve placed their pizza order, enabling them to pay just by entering their email address and password. This is Sage Payment Solutions’ fifth acquisition in the last 12 months, which is focused on strategic growth with such strategy through targeted portfolios in the automotive, lodging and hospitality markets.
The NFC Forum approved the Clear2Pay NFC Test Solution. The next generation payment solutions announced its test tool is developed to enable the industry confirm compliance of their products to the NFC Forum standards-based specifications. The Integri branded solution will be used by certification test laboratories for the official validation of digital protocol conformance of NFC products worldwide. Telefónica O2 Ireland has launched its ‘O2 Money’ prepay money card, developed in conjunction with 3V Transaction Services Ltd Irish Payments company providing innovative prepaid debit solutions. The 3V Transaction Services will provide the end to end operating platform for the ‘O2 Money’ prepaid reloadable card. The Card also offers all the benefits and flexibility of a chip-and-pin payments card in addition to the security and control of a prepay card. Dialog Semiconductor has acquired SiTel Semiconductor short-range wireless, digital cordless and VoIP technology for something to the tune of $84.5 million. This will add short-range wireless connectivity and VoIP to Dialog’s existing technology portfolio; major global customers in the portable device market; and expands Dialog’s addressable market targeting high growth wireless personal portable devices to over 100 million. SiTel’s industry-leading products are found in a broad range of personal portable applications including digital cordless phones, professional wireless headsets, gaming and portable medical devices. SiTel’s VoIP technology is increasingly used by leading manufacturers of enterprise and residential VoIP connectivity products.

Clive Williams has been appointed Senior VP to lead Top Image Systems (TIS) Enterprise Content Management solutions’ Banking Business Unit. Bringing with him over 20 years’ executive management experience in the banking and financial services market to the role, Williams was most recently a Senior Solutions Director for Enterprise Retail Banking, Wealth Management and Compliance and Risk with Misys International Banking Systems, where he also served as member of Misys’ Banking Solutions Operating Board and Strategy Council. During his tenure at Misys, Clive oversaw Strategy, Development and Delivery of Misys’ solutions and related business activities.
