Payverifi has teamed with Kount Systems in order to enhance their fraud management systems. The partnership will allow Payverifi’s pre-existing systems to dive in even deeper to each particular transaction, instantly checking hundreds of fraud check points.

Mozido’s mobile financial services technology enabled JCCUL, which represents 42 credit unions serving over a third of the nation’s consumers, to launch a stored-value account mobile wallet initiative that delivers banking options to Jamaica’s estimated two million underbanked citizens, and also brings mobile payments and loyalty services to thousands of merchants. After a one-year initial phase, the Bank of Jamaica has approved phase two pilot of JCUES, now allowing any Jamaican to sign up, add money, and pay for goods and services without the need for a bank account. Phase two of JCUES doubles the target market base in Jamaica, giving over two-million citizens the opportunity for full control over their finances, many for the first time ever.
Inside Secure completed the agreement with Intel Corporation. INSIDE Secure extended the pre-existing worldwide perpetual license it had with Intel into a broad, royalty-free and fully paid-up license, with INSIDE Secure retaining ownership of most of the related IP assets and rights. It has also transferred to Intel its MicroRead-v5 next-generation NFC hardware and software modem technology currently under development, together with certain related tangible and intangible assets, including certain IP assets. At closing INSIDE Secure received USD 19.2 million in cash from Intel.

DirectCash Payments successfully completed its acquisition of Customers Limited, Australia’s largest independent operator of ATMs with over 6,600 ATMs in Australia and New Zealand. Customers operates Australia’s largest fleet of ATMs, which are contracted to merchants. The company operates ATMs for Bank of Queensland and Coles Express, while also carrying a range of bank brands on selected terminals, including Citibank, Bendigo and Adelaide Bank, and Arab Bank of Australia, as well as its own convenience brands. The Company is also the majority shareholder of New Zealand ATM Services Ltd.
WePay online payment acceptance partnered Fundable.com to power payments for the company’s crowdfunding platform. The WePay API enables companies like Fundable to allow their users to start accepting payments instantly, without requiring users to have a pre-existing merchant account. The Marketplace API provides Fundable with a fully compliant payment solution, without compromising the platform’s user experience. The recently passed JOBS Act (also known as the Crowdfunding Bill), which will allow startup companies to publicly raise money from non-traditional investors, has led to explosive growth in the crowdfunding space.
VeriFone Systems announced an agreement with Isis, the joint venture between AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA and Verizon Wireless, to integrate the Isis Mobile Commerce Application in current and future NFC-enabled product lines. The companies have also agreed that their sales, marketing and implementation teams will collaborate to target large retail and petroleum/convenience merchants in previously announced Isis launch markets of Salt Lake City and Austin. VeriFone’s leading market share of U.S. retailers, NFC-ready product portfolio and “payment-as-a-service” delivery model will help accelerate the wide scale introduction and the adoption of mobile commerce.
ID Watchdog reports the initial launch and adoption of its “idCHECK”
product among retail stores will be completed before June 1st.
