Houston-based Evolve Money, the free bill payment app for desktop and mobile devices owned by PreCash, now offers its customers the option to pay their bills with credit cards. Discover is the first credit card accepted for payment using the mobile app, with plans to support VISA and MasterCardin 2015.
Evolve Money is now available as an added feature to Red Pocket Mobile customers through the company’s mobile site. Evolve Money is a free bill-payment app from PreCash.

Boost Mobile announced a simple way for users of Boost Mobile Wallet powered by Wipit to turn their checks into instant cash funds, available in their Boost Mobile Wallet Plus accounts. The new service called Quick Check is available through the Boost Mobile Wallet powered by Wipit. The funds are loaded in users’ Boost Mobile Wallet Plus accounts, which are issued by Sutton Bank in association with Wipit. The Boost Mobile Wallet application offers international money transfer by Ria Money Transfer, bill payment, domestic and international prepaid mobile top-up, and money transfer capabilities to other Mobile Wallet accounts, all available through Wipit and its financial services partners. The application is available as a free download at the Google Play Store from a Boost Mobile Android-powered smartphone.
PreCash launched its “Evolve Money” online and mobile app, allowing consumers to pay more than 10,000 bills without needing a bank account, credit, debit or prepaid card. This allows consumers to pay their bill for free or get a same-day, expedited bill payment at little cost. Cash-based consumers now can make fast, affordable bill payments online or from the convenience of a smartphone. The “Evolve Money” app also offers a payment management tool that tracks and keeps a history of all transactions. With this feature, cash paying users can manage their bills and finances with tools often only available to bank and credit card customers. The requisite “REloadit Packs” can be purchased for $3.95, and “Evolve Pay Bucks” for $3.00.
At FinovateFall 2012, PreCash announced and demonstrated FlipMoney, the first viable mobile wallet app for underbanked consumers. This lets people without a bank account or credit card do instant remote check deposits and perform free expedited bill payments with their smartphone. Large scale deployment will begin this fall. During Finovate, PreCash announced the mobile solution can be customized and branded for mobile carriers, prepaid program managers, money service businesses and other merchants. Flip allows a person without a checking account to remotely deposit their checks into a mobile wallet that works with a prepaid debit card. Flip is unique because a user can elect an instant check deposit option that typically makes funds available within minutes. Current remote check deposit solutions take three to six days to process.

More Americans used expedited bill pay services in 2010, saving $4.3 billion in late fees. Javelin Strategy & Research “Expedited Payments: Consolidator Originated Routing Solutions May 2011” study shows that two-fifths of Americans used an expedited payment service to pay a bill and avoid late fees but that expedited payments services, such as PreCash’s “Billocity,” are currently not available through most banks and other financial institutions. Data also showed 58% of consumers who never made an expedited bill payment at their bank’s website”but have made an expedited payment at a biller site in the past 12 months”indicated they would like to use a bank site to make an expedited payment in the future. Additional conclusions show demand for expedited bill payment services is growing and consumers are expected to reap $6.3 billion in savings by 2015. A 2009, National Foundation for Credit Counseling survey found 58 million U.S. adults pay their bills late, and consumers spent a staggering $20 billion in credit card bill late fees in 2009.
