First Data Names New Vice Chairman

First Data announced its Board of Directors has named Joseph J. Plumeri vice chairman. Plumeri was appointed to the First Data Board of Directors and as a senior advisor to KKR in August 2013. Since then he also has been serving as senior advisor to First Data Chairman and CEO Frank Bisignano, and as the head of First Data’s client delivery, innovation and marketing organization. Better ATM Services Announces Senior Leadership Changes

MoneyGram Announces Organizational Changes

MoneyGram announced several operational and organizational changes to better support the Company’s corporate objectives, including its goal of reaching $2 billion in annual revenue in 2017. TSYS and FICO Integrate Fraud Management

TSYS and FICO software integrated FICO’s latest version of its fraud management solution, “FICO Falcon Fraud Manager 6” with TSYS’ “PRIME” card and merchant management solution. This extension to TSYS’ global strategic alliance with FICO will enable TSYS to offer the Falcon Fraud Manager solution as a hosted service to its licensing clients around the globe. TSYS and FICO’s integrated solution is being successfully utilised by EnterCard, a Nordic-based TSYS PRIME client since 1999. The integrated Falcon solution manages fraud by examining the behavioural aspects of cardholder activity, using advanced analytic models to provide real-time decisions. Combining best-in-class neural network models with merchant profiles, the solution even goes one step further detecting fraud by using adaptive models that change as global fraud patterns migrate.

Credit Card Solicitations Fall to a 20YR Low

The U.S. Postal Service posted a net loss of $2.4 billion for the
second calendar quarter as mail volume declined by 7 billion pieces,
marking the largest consecutive three-quarter drop in total volume since
1971. Credit card solicitations, which contributed as many as 6 billion
pieces per year, will likely fall below 1.2 billion pieces this year,
the lowest level in more than 20 years. CardWatch (www.cardwatch.com)
reports that direct mail was off at least 70% in the second quarter,
with American Express and Discover dispatching the largest credit card
solicitation mailings. Secured credit card and sub-prime credit card
issuers also ratcheted up direct mail during the quarter. According to
Synovate’s “Mail Monitor,” U.S. households received 372.4 million offers
during the first quarter, compared to 1131.6 million offers received
during 1Q/08. The Q1 sharp drop follows a 55% decrease in the fourth
quarter and a 20% decline in the third quarter. For the full year of
2008 there were 3.8 billion solicitations mailed, compared to 5.2
billion in 2007. Chicago-based Mintel Comperemedia estimates 5.4 billion
credit card direct mail offers for 2008, the lowest annual total the

CPI Card Group announce that CPI – Liverpool has successfully completed
and passed its reaccreditations to both the International Standards ISO
9001:2000 (Quality) and ISO 14001 (Environment). The ISO 9001:2008
version introduces several new concepts into Quality
Management Systems, including considerations for regulatory and
statutory compliance, control of customer specific intellectual data,
warranty, maintenance, recycling and final disposal information. In all,
it looks at the overall business in terms of risks and business
continuity plans. The latest changes to the previous version also
include realigning the clauses of the ISO 9001 Quality Management
Standard with the ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standard for
clarity. In addition to the
reaccreditations, CPI will be upgraded to the new ISO 9001:2008
standard, which is a unique achievement in the card industry. To our
knowledge, we are one of the first card personalization bureaus to
achieve automatic upgrade to the new standard.

CPI’s Liverpool Plant is ISO Reaccredited

passed its reaccreditations to both the International Standards ISO
9001:2000 for Quality and ISO 14001 Environment. Certification to these
ISO standards is consistent with CPI Card Groupâs

9001:2008 and 14001 provide the integrated framework and discipline
required to run a world-class personalization bureau. The ISO 9001
Quality Standard is an international standard that is
recognized and used by over 150 countries worldwide. It establishes a

Equifax USCIS Revenue Slips 9.5% in Q3

Equifax reported that third quarter revenue slipped 2% year-on-year to
$484.1 million, but that net income rose 6% to $72.3 million. Total
revenue for its U.S. Consumer Information Solutions
was $220.6 million in the third quarter, a 9.5% decrease from 3Q/07. The
operating margin for USCIS was 38.2% in the third quarter of 2008, up
slightly from 38.0% in the second quarter of 2008. Operating margin in
the third quarter of 2007 was 39.8%. The North America Personal
Solutions unit produced total revenue rose to $40.9 million, a 6%
increase from the third quarter of 2007. Operating margin was 29.8%, up
from 26.9% in the third quarter of 2007. For the fourth quarter the
Company expects total revenue to be in the range of $453 million to $463

SA Asia Pacific Names Country Manager

Visa Asia Pacific has appointed Jessica Pang as Malaysian Country
Manager who will be responsible for the expansion of the country’s
Visa payment cards. Before this development, Pang was Vice President
of Citibank Malaysia’s Merchant Card Business. Since 2004, she was
responsible for driving Citi’s merchant acquisition and card usage. With
more than 15 years of experience, Pang worked with Digi
Telecommunications, Parkson Corporation and MBF Finance in which
she held managerial roles in the marketing and sales departments. She
has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Bath,
England and a Degree in Marketing from the Chartered Institute of
Marketing, UK.

eFunds’ 4Q/06 Net Income Soars by 72%

AZ-based eFunds reports that fourth quarter net revenue increased 2% to $141 million, compared to the same quarter of 2005. Fourth quarter net income grew 72% to $20 million, compared to 4Q/05. However, the Company posted a 3% year-on-year decline in its U.S. Payments segment with $75.4 million in revenue. The International segment soared by 26% to $21.0 million but the U.S. Risk Management segment was flat at $44.6 million. eFunds also reported that it now expects full year 2007 net revenues to increase 7% to 11% over 2006 net revenues. Diebold’s Q3 ATM Revenue Rises 14%

Diebold posted third quarter revenue of $730.7 million, up 17.4% from 3Q/05. Net income for Q3 was $29.5 million, compared to net income of $13.5 million in the third quarter of last year. The Company says profits were impacted by restructuring charges. During the quarter, Diebold completed a successful pilot production program at its new manufacturing facility in Budapest, Hungary, and received the necessary governmental quality certifications needed to begin shipments to customers. The plant is operating according to plan and is expected to produce more than 1,000 “Opteva” ATMs in the fourth quarter. Diebold’s ATM business or “Financial Self-Service” revenue was up 14.4% for the quarter, led by an increase of 22.8% in the EMEA region.
