ROAM Expands mPOS Channel Strategy with EVO Payments Partnership
ROAM mobile commerce platform provider announced EVO Payments International payment service provider operating in the United States, Canada and Europe, will leverage ROAM’s platform to extend its full range of electronic payment service offerings to include mPOS. Through this strategic partnership, EVO will provide its large U.S. customer base of over 300,000 merchants with ROAM’s advanced mPOS solutions, including the G5X mobile card reader and ROAMpay X4 mPOS application, while leveraging the advanced security and management capabilities of ROAM’s mobile payments engine. EVO is among the largest fully integrated merchant acquirer and payment processors in the world, processing in nearly 50 markets and 120 currencies.
RoamPay mPOS Tracker Studies Merchant POS Priorities
mPOS Tracker research highlights mPOS continues to expand internationally, particularly in emerging markets; is the number one priority for merchants ranking even higher than security; and receipts have the potential to become an important marketing channel for merchants. Cynergy Data Embarks on POS Market Roam
ROAM an Ingenico mcommerce platform announced that Cynergy Data payment services deployed its white-label solution to power its new Vwalaa! mPay offering. Cynergy Data leveraged ROAM’s core platform components – the G4X secure mobile card reader, the ROAMpay™ X4 application and the myROAM management portal – to launch the Vwalaa! Mobile Pay brand in less than four months. iPayment Implements ROAM on mPOS Solutions
ROAM, an Ingenico company and mobile commerce platform provider, and iPayment acquirer, announced a new program in which iPayment will use ROAM’s mobile commerce platform to deliver a suite of mobile point of sale (mPOS) solutions to its merchants throughout the United States. ROAM will provide iPayment merchants with a complete end-to-end solution, including the G4X Secure Mobile Card Reader, ROAMpay X4 Mobile POS Application and the myROAM management portal. ROAM Data mcommerce platform introduced its software developer’s kit to simplify integration of card-present mobile payments into applications for iPhones, iPads and Android devices. ROAM’s developer kit supports mobile commerce-based apps development for a range of applications including invoicing, accounting, and retail point-of-sale. ROAM Data Launches Secure mCard Reader
ROAM Data encrypted mobile card readers and mCommerce platform-as-a-service provider has launched its “G3X” secure mobile card reader. The “G3X” is ROAM’s third generation mobile reader and supports hundreds of devices, from iOS, Android and Blackberry, to PCs and Macs. This lets Merchant Service Providers compete with the best technology for a whole new segment of mobile merchants and small merchants previously untapped, a market that companies like Square are aggressively pursuing. ROAM has sold more than 400,000 mobile reader units to Intuit, North American Bankcard, Sage Payments, NPC, Total Merchant Services, First Data, Chase Paymentech, Global Payments and others.
ROAM Data Names New Executive VP
Ken Paull has been appointed executive VP with ROAM Data independent mCommerce solutions. Paull brings with him an extensive electronic payments industry experience and will be responsible for all sales, marketing and business development functions at ROAM. His previous roles included senior vice president at RBS Lynk (now WorldPay), vice president at Triton Systems and general manager at VeriFone. During his tenure at these three companies, Lynk was sold to RBS ($525M), Triton was sold to Dover Corp. and VeriFone was sold to Hewlett Packard ($1.2B). He is growing what is now WorldPay’s national accounts division while also growing what had been a declining ATM processing business by 500%. At VeriFone, Ken built their direct, major account division which has become one of the largest segments of their business.
