Clearent Virtual Terminal

MO-based credit card processor Clearent unveiled the addition of a new virtual terminal that complements the company’s broad array of products and services. With the Clearent virtual terminal, merchants have the flexibility they need to securely process credit card payments in an office setting on a computer or when they’re on the go from their smartphone or tablet.


FIDO (Fast IDentity Online) Alliance board member NTT DOCOMO, Japan’s market leading mobile network operator (MNO), intends to expand FIDO authentication for its country-wide network with new FIDO Certified™ devices, and by extending FIDO authentication through DOCOMO ID to carrier billing services partners.

Monitise Q2/15

Monitise reports FY 2015 revenue declined 6% to £89.7m. The loss was £41.8m, was at the lower end of the Company’s guidance range of a £40-50m loss. Elizabeth Buse has stepped down as CEO and from the Board. Deputy CEO and Chief Commercial Officer Lee Cameron has been appointed CEO.

Terbium & MapR

Terbium Labs, a security software company that proactively searches for stolen data on the Dark Web using a patented, privacy-protected, data fingerprinting technique, is using the MapR Distribution as the big data platform for Matchlight, a first-of-its-kind data intelligence system.

Gemalto & NTT DOCOMO

Gemalto has selected NTT DOCOMO for its NFC Services, the No.1 mobile operator in Japan with over 63 million subscribers, for its mobile NFC services. Gemalto will provide NTT DOCOMO with an end-to-end solution featuring its Allynis Trusted Service Management (TSM) service, as well as the UpTeq NFC UICC embedding both the SIM and contactless applications.

Revel Systems Revved

San Francisco-based Revel Systems has landed $13.5 Million from ROTH Capital Partners, a relationship-driven investment bank with close connections to Revel. This was Revel’s C-3 investment round, a follow-up to the Series C-1 round led by Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe in November 2014 and Series C-2 round led by Intuit in December 2014.

CCV NCR Authentic

Netherlands-based European payments provider CCV is now using Authentic, an intelligent payments platform from NCR’s Alaric. CCV plans to implement Authentic across Europe to support a new state-of-the-art payments processing solution it has developed for its customers, due to go live in December 2015.
