Bank of Ningbo has deployed its 500 ATM on the NCR APTRATM Edge multi-vendor software application while its network has been migrated to be compliant with EMV1 (PBOC 2.02) card payment standards. NCR has installed its Terminal Management Services solution, which provides real-time remote monitoring and recovery ability to ensure the ATM network’s availability and visibility. In addition, NCR has upgraded Bank of Ningbo’s ATM network with a suite of security solutions, including NCR Remote Key Management solution, Dynamic eLock Management Platform, and SolidCore for APTRA security solution, which will help improve security and ATM uptime. NCR immediately kicked off the project through detailed testing and analysis of its multi-vendor ATM environment, and implemented software to be shared among different vendors’ ATM terminals.
OKI launched a new transportation system that will distribute precision equipment, such as ATM maintenance parts, safely and precisely throughout China. This follows a measure to restructure OKI’s supply chain management (SCM), with the goal of strengthening its ATM business foundations in China. The new system will begin transporting materials in July between OKI’s maintenance parts warehouse in Shenzhen City, Guangdong, and a maintenance site in Hebei. Having set a goal to reduce logistics costs for ATM maintenance parts in China by 30% over the next three years, OKI will expand the new transport system to serve all OKI maintenance sites throughout China and pursue further SCM restructuring. OKI’s cash-recycling ATMs currently account for approximately 50% of this market, the leading market share. With ever-growing numbers of ATMs installed in China and continuing expansion into interior China, OKI needed to ensure a safe, secure, and effective transportation system and provide access to speedy repairs and supply systems for maintenance parts delivered to approximately 220 maintenance sites.

Sino Payments IP transactions processing services to the retail industry announced as a follow on to the recently announced merger with TAP Investments Group, Value Exchange International, has signed an agreement with the Bank of Communications (Guangdong Province) for the latter to join TAP’s Retail Alliance. Bank of Communications will introduce its credit cardholders (estimated as 5 million strong in Guangdong and 20 million country wide) to visit one of TAP’s retailers in Hong Kong & Macau Special Administrative Regions.
