MDT and Bluepoint Solutions Offer Home, Mobile Capture

Member Driven Technologies (MDT), a Michigan-based credit union-owned service organization (CUSO), and Bluepoint Solutions, a leading provider of remote deposit capture, item processing and enterprise content management solutions for financial institutions, announced a partnership that enhances MDT’s online banking and mobile banking offerings. QwikDeposit will be offered through both MDT’s online and mobile banking offerings, allowing credit union members to make check deposits from home using any TWAIN scanner or from their smartphone using the device’s camera. Members simply key in the deposit amount and then either scan or take photos of the front and back of each check deposited.

ANX Granted Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) Status

ANXeBusiness managed security, compliance and connectivity solutions has been granted approved scanning vendor (ASV) status by PCI-SSC. This authorizes ANX to assist customers in meeting the PCI DSS requirement for periodic PCI Security Scans. Merchants and service providers that store, process or transmit credit card information are required to have periodic PCI Security Scans if they handle payment card data over IP networks. Even if an entity does not offer e-commerce, such functions as email and employee Internet access create opportunities for hackers seeking cardholder data to compromise the network. PCI Security Scans identify network vulnerabilities and are meant to be used in conjunction with an overall compliance program.

CO-OP Financial Services & CUSC Team

CO-OP Financial Services and GA-based Credit Union Service Corporation (CUSC) have completed an agreement to to create an organization that represents 80% of the country’s shared branching participants. Under terms of the business combination, CO-OP has purchased a 51 percent interest in CUSC, which continues to manage and market its branch outlets across the U.S. Additionally, CO-OP retains 100 percent ownership of its shared branching operation which will also be managed by CUSC. The new shared branching entity’s 1,100 participant credit unions will be able to facilitate deposits, withdrawals, loan payments and other transactions within the expanded nationwide shared branch network that now includes 1,656 branches spread across 40 states, representing two-thirds of shared branching locations worldwide.

CO-OP Handles 1.1B EFT Transactions in 05

Ontario, CA-based CO-OP Network reports a record 1.1 billion EFT transactions in 2005. The year’s most significant jump in CO-OP Network’s 2005 transaction totals was the 20% increase for signature debit and PIN POS. Several other factors contributed to CO-OP Network’s 2005 record transaction growth, including the addition of more than 5,000 ATMs and 4 million cardholders. Since it was established in 1981, membership has grown from 197 credit unions into the largest financial institution-owned network in the U.S. with 1,835 members today. At the end of the year, the Network included 20,000 surcharge-free ATMs nationwide and 24 million credit union cardholders.

Purdue Employees FCU Goes Full CO-OP Net

First Premier Launches the Farrah Gray MasterCard

Cardholders can re-load the cards multiple times at various locations and by different payment types. The cards are prepaid so there are no credit checks, no interest payments and no monthly fee. The CO-OP Network Hires Work from GenPass

CO-OP Signs 7-Eleven for Surcharge-Free ATMs

CO-OP Network and 7-Eleven have signed an agreement to provide ATM access for Network members in 7-Eleven stores across the USA. Approximately 5,300 7-Eleven stores in 30 states will offer surcharge-free ATM access to 24 million credit union cardholders carrying the Network logo beginning December 1st. CO-OP Network has 1,848 member credit unions. Credit union members currently have surcharge-free access to 25,000 Network ATM terminals across 50 states and throughout Canada.
