Western Union announced their prepaid card just for travelers and an option for travelers to send a Western Union Money Transfer® transaction to themselves. This development will address the market segment relying on cash while traveling, and those who prefer to use a payment card. Western Union now gives travelers the option to send a money transfer to themselves prior to leaving for a trip. For transfers to most countries, the foreign-exchange rate is determined when the funds are sent, so travelers know exactly how much will be waiting for them in cash when they arrive at their destination. For travelers who prefer the convenience of card payments, the general-purpose reloadable (GPR) Western Union TravelWiseTM Prepaid MasterCard is a convenient and fee-friendly alternative to carrying large amounts of cash.

Monster Offers mobile banking solutions and Daily Deal aggregator teamed to sponsor the “Pitch That App!!!” promotion, hosted by Iconosys. The winner will receive a $500 pre-paid ZalaPay card for demonstrating the best mobile application idea that integrates mobile payments and mobile banking solutions. The “Pitch That App!!!” event is scheduled for Aug. 17, 2011 at Dave and Busters in Irvine, Calif. at 6 p.m. and will provide entrepreneurs and other mobile application developers a platform for finding partners to assist in the financing, development and creative process involved in building what could be the next block-buster app. This coincides with Monster Offers’ plans to release a full suite of mobile banking solutions with its “EZ-Pay Mobile Cashier,” Zala pre-paid Visa debit card, P2P mobile money sharing, deal wallet, redemption and merchant loyalty programs.
Monster Offers mobile solutions company and Daily Deal aggregator announced its mobile payment strategy is perfectly positioned to meet the current needs of the Daily Deal industry. As Daily Deal providers converged at last week’s Deals 3D Conference in San Francisco, creating better mobile experiences and integrating mobile payment solutions prevailed as hot topics as the next phase of business development for the group buying industry. Monster Offers’ ZalaPay mobile payment solution proved to resonate with Daily Deal providers as current payment methods lack tight integration with providers’ sites and distracts users from completing the purchase process, especially from mobile devices. The ZalaPay solution provides a truly integrated “in-app” purchase experience for the user, resulting in significant conversion of sales for the deal publisher. Monster Offers’ mobile financial services include “EZ-Click” Mobile Cashier, Pre-Paid Debit Cards, P2P Mobile Money, Redemption, and Daily Deal Wallet.
