Encore Networks Machine-to-Machine (M2M) solutions for fixed and wireless communications, announced that WorldPay US certified Encore’s line of C2C routers for wireless ATM transactions. The NFC-capable smartphone from Samsung has deployed the MobiCore protected area on its application processor in which security-sensitive applications can be securely run and downloaded dynamically. The MobiCore platform will provide a secure execution environment for mobile payments authentication, emails or corporate VPN access. The first application installed in the Mobicore-protected area on the Samsung GALAXY S III is a digital rights management (DRM) application which provides digital content with effective protection against misuse. G&D’s Trusted Service Management (TSM) solution will also enable organizations such as network operators and banks to install and customize additional security-critical apps in the protected area of the smartphone.
Encore Networks announced EFX Corporation payment processor for ATMs, ACH and Card Issuing certified its C2C cellular-based remote access router to link ATMs to EFX’s data centers. A Machine-to-Machine (M2M) cellular data service replaces leased data circuits or dial-up analog lines at significantly lower cost while providing higher reliability and greater flexibility. The C2C encrypts messages using either Secure Socket Layer (SSL), the same method widely used in Web commerce, or the latest IPsec (IP Security) protocol. It contains a modem that behaves identically to the central-site modem that an ATM calls and offers many remote management and security features such as a firewall, address filtering, and alarms if equipment is changed or a line is disconnected.
