With 60% of small business owners spending more time on their mobile devices than with their significant others, the increasingly popular virtual office also offers increased productivity and a better work-life balance.Also, 43% work during hours spent with family; 68% who own a mobile device rely on just one for both personal and business use making it difficult to âswitch offâ during family time; while 56% are taking advantage of the âvirtual officeâ spending less time working at their desk with the help of technology. Coated paper manufacturer NewPage Corporation will use Ceridianâs payroll, HR, tax filing and other
services to support its HR management needs. NewPage has
approximately 7,800 salaried, hourly and hourly union employees located
in multiple states and Canada. NewPageâs size and geographic diversity
make it a challenging HR environment to manage, but one especially well
suited to Ceridianâs expertise. For their part, the NewPage team was not only looking for HR and payroll

Payment solution provider Comdata has entered into an agreement with CA-based Mercury Air Groupâs
Mercury Fuels division to provide a POS system for the business aviation industry.
The point-of-sale solution automates the fuel ticket process with
easy-to-use prompts that guide the service agent through the
transaction. Driven by tail number identification, the system integrates
with existing industry software tools to enhance data transmission and
back-office efficiency. Comdataâs web-based
solution streamlines data capture and provides detailed reporting for
fixed-base operators and fractional jet organizations.

signed agreements to provide MasterCard prepaid gift cards to Coinstar
E-Payment Services. With this agreement MasterCard prepaid gift cards
will be available at retail outlets across the country where Coinstar is
present. The Card’s SVS prepaid solution allows customers to load cash
onto their MasterCard prepaid card, who are given the freedom to shop
anywhere Debit MasterCard is accepted. Coinstar automated retail
solutions offers products and services through supermarkets, drug
stores, mass merchants, financial institutions, convenience stores,
restaurants and money transfer agents while Stored Value Solutions
custom gift card solutions are available for prepaid cards, loyalty and

The new “TerrainCard” Versatile Card Technology can include one or more raised levels with beveled or sloped edges, with elements of the design showing a combined profile of up to .030″ or more above the base surface of the card front. VCT says the first “TerrainCard” project grew out of a collaborative effort between VCT and Stored Value Solutions. The cards hit retail store shelves in June. VCT is the largest U.S. manufacturer of plastic cards. Stored Value Solutions processes 1 billion transactions for 600 clients and their 580 million cardholders annually.

E-payment solution processor Comdata has tapped Greg Licata, previously
with Metavante, as its new VP of healthcare.
For the past seven years, Licata served MBI/Metavante in a variety of
leadership roles. He is a
co-founder and former chairman of the Special Interest Group for IIAS
Standards (SIGIS), creating the standards that enable a broad range of
participants in healthcare to implement consistent systems and processes
for healthcare transaction processing and data retention. Comdata
entered the healthcare industry in 2008. As a leader in
electronic payment solutions, the company launched a Flexible Spending
Account (FSA) payment card through a partnership with Ceridian Benefits
Services, a division of Comdataâs parent company, Ceridian.
