Payment Alliance International (PAI) , a leader in retail ATM solutions, and OnPoint Community Credit Union announced they have entered into an agreement to brand ATMs at all 72 Rite Aid pharmacies in the state of Oregon. PAI will own and operate the ATMs which will be outfitted with OnPoint Community Credit Union’s branding. OnPoint members will benefit from surcharge-free access to cash at Oregon Rite Aid pharmacies beginning July 2014.
Fiserv, Inc. announced that OnPoint Community Credit Union, a $3.2 billion asset, 260,000 member credit union based in Portland, Ore., is empowering members to better manage their finances through the implementation of a full-featured suite of digital banking services from Fiserv. With the addition of Corillian Online(R) for online banking, Mobiliti(TM) and Mobiliti(TM): Tablet for mobile and tablet banking and AllData(R) PFM for personal financial management, OnPoint is offering an integrated digital banking experience that can cater to specific member needs. The credit union has also added advanced money movement options including faster bill payments via CheckFree(R) RXP(R), money transfers between institutions via TransferNow(R) and person-to-person payments via Popmoney(R).

Oregon Employees Federal Credit Union (OEFCU) is now on the doxo network, allowing members a way to receive their statements directly from OEFCU paperlessly. This also gives members access to a free digital file cabinet to organize household accounts and securely store copies of their most important documents. doxo provides OEFCU members a secure place to organize and store digital copies of important documents that they would normally keep in a safety deposit box – including tax documents, insurance policies, house or car titles, wills, trusts, birth and marriage certificates.
OnPoint Community Credit Union reports that usage among its members on its mbanking service have exceeded expectations with the number of monthly mbanking transactions up an average of 20% per month while monthly enrollments grow an average of 27%. Using Tyfoneâs mbanking platform, designed to increase bank profitability in part to bring banking customers and their financial institutions closer together, OnPoint launched the first phase of its mbanking service at the end of 2009. This phase allows members to use their mobile phones to check account balances, view account history, transfer funds between accounts, and locate branches and ATMs. Tyfoneâs infrastructure is hosted in a SAS 70 Type II compliant environment that is configured to scale rapidly.
U.S. Bank has awarded customers $36,000 in
prizes as part of the U.S. Bank Get Ahead in 2010 promotion.
Small business and consumer U.S. Bank Visa credit and check cardholders
had a chance to win up to $10,000 every time they used their eligible
card during the promotion, which ran from Jan. 15, 2010 through Feb. 28,
2010. Two customers won a $10,000 grand prize. Two other customers won a
$5,000 Get Ahead in 2010 prize by using social media to encourage votes
on their story telling on how this prize would help them get ahead in
2010. Twelve customers won a $500 prize in the weekly drawing.
Cardholders registered their eligible card by visiting the promotion
website, allowing for chances to win a randomly-drawn $10,000 prize or a
$500 weekly prize. Then every time they used their card, they earned an
entry into the sweepstakes. Two sets of prizes were awarded â one for
small business and one for consumer cardholders. Cardholders also had the opportunity to earn $5,000 by submitting a
story on how they would use $5,000 to Get Ahead in 2010. They went on to
share their story with friends via Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter or email
and encouraged them to visit the promotion website to vote for their
story. The two stories with the most eligible votes at the end of the
contest period won the $5,000 Get Ahead in 2010 prizes.
With over $587 billion in financial transactions handled by mobile
financial services around the world by 2011, OnPoint Community Credit
Union has decided to deploy the Tyfone “u4ia” mobile financial services.
Additionally, with over 60% of phones in the US have memory card slots
(close to one billion phones worldwide) as of 2009, the “u4ia” platform
will allow OnPoint to offer its mobile banking strategy with
fully-integrated mobile payments capabilities. The m-baning solution is

WA-based Pemco Technologies has announced it will provide credit and debit processing services for the Utah-based Goldenwest Credit Union and will provide credit processing services for Oregon Employees Federal Credit Union (OEFCU). Goldenwest was established in 1936 and OEFCU was founded in 1964, both intent on providing members with financial services such as bank accounts, retirement accounts, consumer loans, real estate loans, credit cards, debit cards and online financial services. Pemco Technologies provides such payment solutions for banks as card processing, PIN-based processing and ATM services. The Goldenwest Credit Union has assets of over $600 million and nearly 69,000 members while the Oregon-based OEFCU has assets of $84.5 million and more than 9,500 members.
Barclay’s Juniper Financial Corporation has purchased Oregon Community Credit Union’s $42.9 million credit portfolio, entered into an agent relationship, and jointly launched the “Oregon Community Credit Union World MasterCard”. The new card issued by Juniper provides Oregon Community Credit Union’s 87,000 members flexible rewards, no fee and the worldwide merchant acceptance of a MasterCard. Cardholders using the Oregon Community Credit Union World MasterCard earn valuable rewards on purchases everywhere MasterCard is accepted. Oregon Community Credit Union serves more than 87,000 members and currently has an asset size of $700 million. OR-based Card Capture Services was selected from a pool of fifteen ATM providers to provide more than 300 ATMs for AMF Bowling Centers nationally. The installation of the ‘CCSExpress ATMs’ is expected to be completed by the end of this year. After the AMF installation, CCS’ ATM portfolio will include 3,200 units.
