Vantiv to Provide FCUs eProcessing Services

Vantiv payment processors announced three credit unions have signed contracts for single-sourced comprehensive electronic processing services. The services include ATM and debit card transaction processing, card production, gateway services, rewards and debit portfolio management. The credit unions include First U.S. Community Credit Union; Fort Worth Community Credit Union and USSCO Johnstown Federal Credit Union. Vantiv’s product suite also includes ATM terminal driving and monitoring, ATM and debit card transaction authorization and processing, credit issuing and processing services, national and regional gateway services, comprehensive ancillary services including fraud detection, card production, Rewards! product, and other consultative services.

OPC Powers Higher Education Payments

Official Payments Corpoartion is expanding payment processing services to 19 new U.S. college and university clients for credit card, debit card and electronic check acceptance via the Internet, telephone, kiosk and over-the-counter. OPC has relationships with Datatel and other top ERP systems providers in the higher education industry. OPC enables seamless integration with these ERP systems, as well as with legacy systems, for such services as viewing balances and making payments. OPC’s clients are comprised of nearly 2,600 federal, state, and local governments and agencies including the IRS, educational institutions, utilities and commercial clients.

U.S. Bank Doubles Calif ATM Presence

U.S. Bank has installed 325 ATMs at Walgreens stores across 35 counties in California and in five cities in Nevada for a total of 656 ATMs in California and 116 in Nevada. The new ATMs operate on a Windows-based platform and feature vibrant, attractive graphics and screen designs, and audio-assisted capabilities via ‘text-to-speech’ technology. This platform, known as “ProdigyATM”, provides the foundation for new features such as allowing ATM users to customize and save their personal “fast cash” preferences and true one-to-one messaging and marketing capabilities. U.S. Bancorp, with $207 billion in assets, is the 6th largest financial holding company in the United States.


Razvojna banka Banja Luka has become Euronet’s tenth bank customer for EFT outsourcing services. The deal came through EuroPlanet, Euronet’s joint venture in Serbia with Komercijalna banka, and Arius. EuroPlanet has contracts in place with seven banks in Serbia and Montenegro and three in Bosnia Hercegovina. As of July, 50 ATMs, 76,000 debit cards and 312 POS terminals are being operated from EuroPlanet’s processing center in Belgrade. EuroPlanet estimates that it now services approximately 40% of all ATMs in the Serbian market and approximately 30% of all cards in the Serbia and Montenegro market.


Belgrade-based VIDRA Info, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Arius Group
has signed a deal to become VeriFone’s channel partner in Yugoslavia. The
first contract from the partnership resulted in the first shipment of 1,000
“Omni 3750” terminals to the Komercijalna Bank of Yugoslavia. The “Omni
3750” has proved to be the fastest selling model in VeriFone’s history
reaching a milestone of 70,000 terminals shipped in the eight months since
its launch in January of this year. VIDRA info’s parent company, Arius
designs and produces software for the implementation of specific
information systems and has recently formed a joint venture with
Komercijalna Banka and Euronet to set up and run a processing center for
POS and ATM transactions in Yugoslavia. Komercijalna banka is a Europay
principal member, a VISA associate member, an exclusive American Express
agent and YUBA card issuer.
