Merchant Advisory Intros U.S. ePayments Roadmap

The Merchant Advisory Group (MAG), a cross-industry association of large merchants involved in the payments industry, announced its recommendations for a U.S. electronic payments roadmap with a focal point on the importance of Chip and PIN adoption. With its members accounting for the majority of payment card transactions in the United States, the MAG has consistently advocated a collaborative approach to developing a long-term, mutually beneficial payments strategy. The MAG has facilitated numerous discussions with a cross-section of all payments stakeholders with the goal of laying the foundation of a comprehensive and inclusive payments roadmap. Diebold To Open New Ohio HQ

Diebold has signed a purchase agreement for the preferred site of its new global headquarters campus. The agreement includes 55 acres of land in Green, Ohio, on the Union Square site. Diebold’s new corporate campus will house about 1,500 of the company’s employees in its global headquarters. These include research and development operations, hardware and software engineering functions, and sales and marketing areas for the company’s financial self-service, security and integrated services businesses. The company’s corporate financial and administrative operations, customer service and event monitoring centers, and employee training and education functions will also reside in the new facility.
