Masha Cilliers has been appointed DataCash Head of Global Strategy and Product Innovation. Joining DataCash with a 17 year career in the payments industry and strong expertise in online and mobile commerce, she will be responsible for growing DataCash’s brand presence and revenue growth globally through innovative thinking and strategic business development. Most recently with GlobalCollect as VP, Global Partnerships & Alliances, Masha also worked with CyberSource as Head of European Business Development. In her new role, Cilliers will focus on driving new product development, leading the marketing and communications function and optimising business opportunities and alliances for global growth.

Experian & AmEx Announce Partnership

Experian and American Express announced a partnership to offer international payment processing and foreign exchange services. This partnership is ultimately to make it easier and cheaper for businesses to make and process overseas payments online, adding a global payment processing capability to Experian’s existing range of services. This is to be accomplished with a direct link to American Express’s Foreign Exchange International Payments product with the Experian Payments Gateway.

Santander has launched its Mobile Banking service for customers using any mobile phone or handheld device with Internet access. Many of the most popular features of Santander’s Online Banking service available on desktop devices. Also, its App for the iPhone and iPad will also provide the same secure service for banking on the go, including a helpful single platform where customers can see information for all their Santander current accounts, savings and credit cards in one place. Bulgarian Post Office Joins MoneyGram Transfer Network

MoneyGram International global money transfer compan signed an agreement with the Bulgarian Post Office to offer its money transfer services in the Post Office’s 3,000 postal locations. Currently live in 165 locations, MoneyGram will expand to 1,000 throughout 2012. With the addition of the Post Office to MoneyGram’s network in Bulgaria, the company’s services are now available at nearly 1,700 locations throughout the country. The Bulgarian Post Office provides MoneyGram consumers with locations that have extensive opening hours and thousands of locations throughout the country, including remote or rural areas. In 2011, remittances from Bulgarians working abroad totaled $1.5 million, an increase of 8 percent from 2010. Additionally, Bulgaria has one of the highest proportions of populations working abroad than any country and remains one of Europe’s largest recipients of remittances.

BluePay Launches QuickBooks POS Plug-in

BluePay offers a new QuickBooks Point of Sale plugin for seamless accounting software integration. Now, in addition to integrating with any workstation running QuickBooks accounting software, BluePay’s secure credit card processing gateway integrates with QuickBooks point of sale (POS) systems. Once the plugin is installed, the merchant can scan items through their QuickBooks Point of Sale, swipe the customer’s credit card or manually enter credit card data, and send the transaction right to BluePay. When the transaction is approved, it is transferred right into the merchant’s accounting software, eliminating double data entry and keying errors.
