Citi announced a multi-year renewal of its long-standing U.S. credit card relationship with Shell. With these agreements, Citi provides Shell consumer and commercial customers flexible and rewarding payment options for their fuel and convenience store purchases. Citi and Shell partnered to launch the Shell “Drive for Five” card, the retail petroleum industry’s first private label consumer credit card offering everyday gasoline rewards across all grades of fuel.

American Express Wins JD Power Customer Satisfaction

Consumers ranked American Express highest in customer satisfaction among credit card companies according to the annual nationwide study by J.D. Power and Associates for the 4th consecutive year. The study places American Express highest in overall satisfaction among 10 of the largest card issuers in the U.S. that were ranked in the study. The J.D. Power and Associates 2011 Credit Card Satisfaction Study looks at Customer Interaction, Billing and Payment Process, Credit Card Terms, Rewards Programs, Benefits and Services, and Problem Resolution. VantageScore Solutions Awarded Victory Against FICO

VantageScore Solutions, provider of the “VantageScore” credit score, developed as a joint venture among the three national credit reporting companies and announced a three-judge panel from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit issued a decision rejecting an appeal filed by Fair Isaac Corporation (FICO). This vindicates VantageScore again by affirming all earlier outcomes, including the court rejecting as a matter of law FICO’s claims of anti-competitive behavior, false advertising, and unreasonable and illegal restraint of trade. A federal jury also determined FICO had no trademark rights in its scoring range, and therefore that the VantageScore numeric range could not constitute trademark infringement.

Jwaala and eWise Partner Offer New Payment Solution

Online banking solution provider, Jwaala, and payments solution provider, eWise, partnered to offer a new online payment alternative for credit union members, merchants, and billers. The Secure Vault Payments solution has been integrated into Jwaala’s Better Online Banking platform (BOB) allowing users to make payments to online merchants and billers through simple, secure and immediate ACH transactions. Secure Vault Payments (SVP) secure and private online payment network developed by NACHA and eWise allows consumers to select the SVP payment option on a merchant’s site. The ACH network makes the payment immediate, verified and does not require the consumer to create an account at the merchant site where confidential information is typically stored.

Dynamics Introduces US Manufacturing and Secure Personalization Facility

Dynamics next-generation payment cards announced its new world headquarters, which will house Dynamics’ administrative, engineering, manufacturing, secure payment card personalization, and R&D departments. Dynamics is currently in the process of moving its proprietary high-volume production equipment into the approximately 115,000 square foot facility, of which nearly 100,000 square feet is conditioned “clean room” engineering and manufacturing space. Dynamics is also securing a portion of the facility so that its next-generation magnetic stripe cards can be personalized under the Visa, MasterCard, and American Express networks for its card issuers.

Airplus Shows Travel Managers Lack Tools

AirPlus International travel payment and analysis solutions released its ‘Wire…from AirPlus,’ entitled “Ancillary Aggravation Eases.” It shows 44% of corporate travel managers are not tracking airline ancillary fees but many are finding ways to review them. Meanwhile, 38% rely on travelers to include fees manually in expense reports, while only 7% include fee menus and 15 percent have automated capabilities built in to their expense reporting tools. Other tracking options include the five% who track through their travel management company (TMC) and 11% who rely on corporate card data.
