New York MTA Selects VeriFone Bus Tracking

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) awarded a four-year, $6.9 million contract to VeriFone Systems, for delivery, installation, and warranty and maintenance services for 1,000 “TransitPAY” systems to provide real-time bus information to customers on Staten Island buses. With this, VeriFone will provide ruggedized on-bus hardware, software development, project management, installation, and warranty and maintenance services across Staten Island’s fleet of buses. BB&T to Deploy 100 more Diebold ATMs

BB&T Corporation is set to deploy 100 Diebold “Opteva” ATMs in its self-service network. Featuring touch-screen capabilities for ease of use and PIN pad shields for enhanced user privacy, the ATMs will be installed at numerous branch and off-premise locations throughout nine states and will also provide maintenance and support services. The ATM models feature touch-screen capabilities and are designed to improve customer experiences at the ATM. With it, the PIN pad shields on the new ATMs will also improve user experiences by enhancing security and mitigating fraud, guarding against shoulder surfing. BB&T will also utilize two weather-resistive cash dispensers in the bank’s new disaster recovery and special events mobile unit.
