Online retailers can now implement Wirecard AG’s business intelligence tools and estimate the effectiveness of the risk management strategy that they employ. In addition, they also benefit from the maximum amount of transparency on how central fraud parameters develop over time. The advantages are obvious: shop operators have greater control of fraud as it occurs, thus allowing them to optimize their revenues. With this, Wirecard AG has expanded its “Fraud Prevention Suite” risk management system that identifies suspicious data and/or behavior patterns in real time. The new solutions also provide an overview of transactions which the card-issuing banks report as fraud to the card companies for credit card payments.

APS Inks council pre-paid card contracts

Advanced Payment Solutions (APS) has won contracts to provide prepaid card programs to Merton, Nottinghamshire and Bury councils. The three councils will enhance their benefit disbursement service to customers with prepaid “Cashplus” MasterCards from APS, which offers free multiple fund loads across the faster payments network via existing bank accounts. Removing cash and replacing it with prepaid cards has a number of benefits for councils including better security, more control and more transparent auditing of what is actually being spent by customers. Prepaid also eliminates cumbersome manual processes in getting funds to customers.

Element Solution Validated to Take ISVs out of PCI Scope

Element Payment Services PCI compliant payment processing announced their “Hosted Payments” solution integration option to its “Express Processing Platform” has been validated by Trustwave for its ability to remove software applications from the scope of PCI DSS. The objective of the assessment was to determine the applicability of the PCI DSS and PA-DSS to software applications integrated to Express via Hosted Payments, which Trustwave confirmed eliminates integrated software vendor’s (ISV’s) applications from the scope of PCI DSS and PA-DSS compliance requirements. American Express Launches New Facebook App

American Express launched its Facebook “Link, Like, Love” application that delivers cardmember deals, access and experiences based on the likes, interests and social connections of cardmembers and their Facebook friends. On the American Express Facebook page, cardmembers can link their cards to the program and choose their favorite deals; American Express will send statement credits to cardmembers’ accounts as they shop online or in stores, without the need to pre-purchase anything, print out or show a coupon at the point of sale. When cardmembers use the “Link, Like, Love” application on the American Express Facebook page, they will be connected to a personalized dashboard through which American Express will deliver deals, content and experiences based on their Facebook likes and interests, as well as the likes and interests of their friends. Cardmembers can choose the deals they want and then use their card as they usually do. American Express will send statement credits to their card accounts – no coupons, no print-outs.

PrepaYd Forges Sprint Private Label Services Agreement

PrepaYd entered into a private label services agreement with Sprint, under which PrepaYd will become a Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) and will be able to provide its own branded wireless services using the Nationwide Sprint Network. PrepaYd through “PrepaYd Wireless” will now become a Wireless Service Provider by offering Prepaid Wireless Service on the Nationwide Sprint Network.
