Fifth Third Opens First Green Banking Center in North Carolina

Fifth Third formally announces the opening of its Wilkinson Banking Center located at 2752 Ashley Road in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Wilkinson Banking Center is Fifth Third’s first green banking center in its North Carolina market and its second facility in its 12-state footprint. The Company opened its first green location in Orlando, FL, in May of this year. The Wilkinson facility was designed to use less energy and water than standard buildings and incorporates a number of environmentally-advanced features that lessen its impact on the environment. The facility will pursue Silver recognition under the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) standards set by the U.S. Green Building Council.

Sourcefire Addresses New PCI Requirements on Virtual Systems

Monitise Year-End June 30 Up 100% Y/Y

Monitise mobile banking, payments and commerce networks worldwide, announces its unaudited pre-close trading update following its 30 June financial year-end, with expected full-year revenues of approximately GBP14 million ($22 million), more than double the GBP6 million ($10 million) reported last year, and with a year-end annualized revenue run rate in excess of GBP20 million ($32 million). Growth across live mobile banking and payments services continues, with Monitise now handling more than 10 million banking transactions a month, including 100,000 account transfers and mobile payments per week with an average monthly value of more than GBP100 million. US Bank, Monitise Americas and Fis partnered to offer “ReliaCard” a new mobile app for U.S. Bank ReliaCard Visa cardholders in 16 states. The “ReliaCard” is a prepaid, reloadable card for those who receive recurring cash disbursements from a government agency, giving cardholders in various government programs convenient, free access to their accounts anywhere and anytime using their mobile phone. The new app allows ReliaCard cardholders to check their balance, pay bills, receive account alerts and view mini-statements on-the-go with ReliaCard mobile banking and can be downloaded by cardholders at reliacard.com.
