The Celent “XCelent Depth of Service Award” recognizes community banks and credit unions reviewing small business, online banking solutions. The IBM Beacon Award distinguishes the best solutions IBM business partners deliver across the world, for which FIS was named the “Best Industry Solution for Banking” for its “TouchPoint” delivery channel solution. Two solutions powered by FIS prepaid solutions were recognized in the 2011 Paybefore Awards, including the U.S. Bank AccelaPay Mobile Banking Application reloadable prepaid card.

KORE Enhances Wireless Network for M2M Service

KORE Telematics machine-to-machine (M2M) communications has achieved 99.999 percent availability since upgrading its network in December 2009, thanks mostly to its significant investments in building a dedicated M2M network with a support capacity of more than 10 million connected devices. This will support its nearly 600 M2M application provider partners on two new, fault-tolerant, fully-redundant data centers in Atlanta and Las Vegas with automatic fail-over. Each data center is connected via dedicated MPLS backhaul, powered by Cisco 6500 switches, Cisco 7206 routers and Cisco ASR 1004 routers.

Diebold to Manage 1,100 Axis Bank ATMs

Diebold India has forged a two-year managed services agreement with Axis Bank and will manage more than 1,100 of the bank’s ATMs across the Country. Diebold will now support Axis Bank with ATM incident monitoring, vendor management, cash forecasting and replenishment services, caretaker services, consumables management and site maintenance. Bank Leumi Implements Check Point DLP

Bank Leumi Switzerland international private banking center for the Leumi Group has deployed Check Point’s “Data Loss Prevention” (DLP) solution to secure sensitive data and address critical compliance requirements, while simplifying IT management. With a growing network of over 4,500 clients in over 80 countries, the bank requires a strong DLP solution that ensures it meets and exceeds government regulatory compliance standards and safeguards confidential customer information, such as bank account numbers, credit card data and Social Security numbers. Conference Board January Index up .3%

The Conference Board Leading Economic Index (LEI) for China increased 0.3% in January to 155.0 (2004 = 100), following a 0.5% decline in December and a 0.5% increase in November. Meanwhile, the Conference Board Coincident Economic Index® (CEI) for China, which measures current economic activity, increased 1.4% in January to 200.8 (2004 = 100), following a 0.1% increase in December and a 1.0 percent increase in November. Four of the five components contributed positively to the index in January. The six components of The Conference Board Leading Economic Index (LEI) for China include total Loans Issued by Financial Institutions; 5000 Industry Enterprises Diffusion Index; NBS Manufacturing PMI Sub-Indices; Consumer Expectations Index; Total Floor Space Started; and NBS Manufacturing PMI Sub-Indices.

MoneyGram International and Societe Generale Expand

MoneyGram International global money transfers expanded agreement with Societe Generale regarding operations in 85 countries. With this Societe Generale will offer its international retail banking network of 3,800 branches in 37 countries the opportunity to provide MoneyGram money transfer services to customers. The global agreement is an extension of the two companies’ partnership in Albania, Ghana, Russia, Mayotte and Reunion. Societe Generale and MoneyGram will offer customers money transfer services at Societe Generale international retail branches. For those subsidiaries that are not yet offering money transfer services, this agreement will allow MoneyGram to assist the Societe Generale locations in opening revenue streams.
