Payvment API Helps Retailers Import Facebook Inventory

Payvment Facebook shopping has unveiled its new application programming interface (API). This allows retailers to easily import inventory to its Facebook page in order to offer these items for sale to Facebook’s half billion members, whom are 41% more likely to recommend a consumer product and 28% more likely to continue using it. A Facebook Fan spends $71.84 more per year than a non-Fan and is worth on average $136.38. Payvment enables retailers to offer Facebook Fan discounts – a powerful way for retailers to build a fan club, and increase loyalty and sales. If a user “likes” a retailer’s Fan page, they can offer an immediate discount that is built right into the Payvment shopping cart. Payvment’s “Share” feature gives Facebook users the option to tell their Facebook friends about an item they like in your store via their Facebook News Feed. Semtek and RBS WorldPay Offer End-to-End Security

Semtek and RBS WorldPay payment processing have inked multi-year agreements to supply end-to-end security services and infrastructure for US merchants. Semtek’s “Cipher Decryption Service” (CDS) is being installed on RBS WorldPay’s host systems to capture transactions that have been encrypted in multiple formats. POS encryption occurs entirely within the Tamper Resistant Security Module of the payment device or at the encrypting read head and no decryption occurs until the transaction is within the RBS WorldPay host environment. The “Cipher Security Solutions” involve POS device encryption applications, software security, and network services, create a continuous security loop originating when a card is used to when a transaction is complete.

Bank Freedom Joins the MoneyPass ATM Network

Bank Freedom is now offering surcharge-free ATM access through the MoneyPass ATM network, giving prepaid cardholders access to over 19,000 nationwide surcharge-free MoneyPass ATMs. Previously cardholders paid a surcharge-fee to the owner of the ATM machine every time they withdrew cash. Surcharge-fees can range between $1 and $3.50 per ATM transaction. Now when a Bank Freedom prepaid cardholder uses any of the 19,000 plus nationwide MoneyPass surcharge-free ATMs they will save the $1 to $3.50 surcharge-fee charged by the ATM owner. The federal anti-trust litigation commenced by Sightline Payments against Global Cash Access Holdings innovative cash access solutions and data intelligence for casinos has been dismissed. The judgment concluded Sightline Payments’ allegations were not supported by sufficient facts to establish a plausible entitlement to relief and Sightline Payments’ allegation concerning GCA’s market share, patent rights, agreements with vendors and its agreement to disassociate itself from Sightline’s President were all insufficient to support antitrust claims. Jack Henry 2Q/10 Total Revenue Up to $228mm

MO-based Jack Henry & Associates reported that second quarter total revenue was up to $227.8 million from the $191.9 million in the same quarter a year ago. Gross profit increased to $95.1 million compared to $79.3 million in the fourth quarter of last fiscal year. Net income rose 14% compared to the prior fiscal year to $117.9 million. For the first half of fiscal 2010, total revenue of $393.2 million was generated compared to $373.3 million for the first half of fiscal 2009 while Total revenue increased 12% compared to the prior fiscal year to $836.6 million and gross profit increased 15% to $345.1 million. Thomas Fell will take over the responsibility of Wincor Nixdorf AG’s worldwide IT business in the retail industry. Most recently with Pironet NDH AG, where he lead the sales activities of the Software Solutions and Retail business areas since April 2009 as a Member of the Board of Directors, Fell was as Managing Director at IBM Germany heading the business for medium-sized companies.
